View Full Version : Volvo C30 Pricing Released
I think this will put a dent in mazda 3 sales. I know if this was available when I bought mine I would put some serious thought into it.
Starting @ $27,495.
I know for approx $2000 bucks more I'd make the jump. Plus I think it looks really cool.

It's nice, but there's a big market they'll be missing with just 2 doors.
I'm specifically looking for 4 doors on my next car.

At that price, I hope it comes fully loaded like the picture. For $27K I would expect to have sunroof, rims and navi. LOL.
Screw the extra 2 doors, people in the back can climb out the back.

I highly doubt it... my guess would be no. If Volvo is a little closer to a lux brand you'll probably have to option it out which means $$$$$.

lol.. did you even read the article?
Additionally, the base C30 can be upgraded with a $2,150 Premium Package that features automatic climate control, heated front seats, leather steering wheel and shift knob, power driver seat and aluminum inlays, or a $3,000 Sport Package adds headlamp washers, fog lights, front spoiler, plus 17-inch wheels and tires to the Premium list.
27.5K is the base price and once you config it the way you want it, it'll be too expensive..

The 3 isn't in the same class as this car. I doubt it will have an impact on Mazda's sales of 3's.

Yup, I am interested, though I knew the pricing in early December. The car is slated to arrive in dealerships in April, though most of the first batch are already spoken for. Dealers in T.O. already have lists of people waiting with deposits!!!

yah,
the base for this car shouldnt be very attractive. for a similarily priced 3, u could get alot more inside.
its just like the deal with te bmw e46 320i's. whats the point of going bottom of the barrel for 35k before taxes when u can get a very nicely equipped (and faster) accord, camry, altima, etc.
however the new 323i's are a promising "econo-box" 3 series lol. atleast they have 200hp this time around and i THINK bi-xenons and ATLEAST 15inch alloy's (unlike the steelies wiht the 320)

the one think i can't stand about volvos, is the tail lights, they are huge and ugly on pretty much all their cars!!
again, there is no exception to the rule here!
everytime i look at a volvo, i am like
"damn that looks good . .. oh snap wtf is this"

I love all the new Volvo's. If it were up to me I'd be rocking an S60R with the wife driving an S40 T5. One of the reasons we went with the Mazda3 was that it shares the platform with the S40/V50 which is one of the cars strong suits.

Yes the S60R is quite nice... I sat in one at last years autoshow.
I still can't believe that Volvo continues to use the male symbol in their logo and emblems. Volvo's position on it is that it's the symbol for Mars and Iron. It's meant to stand for strength.
Nonetheless its the male gender symbol to most people.
My boss drives an S60R, very nice indeed.
