Where are you? Luckily for us we haven't had more than 1cm of snow this winter.

Nice! It's a high of 10C today here. Everyone is out walking and enjoying the sunshine. :)

As a side note - the earthquake in Taiwan on boxing day broke a major data backbone linking the region and North America, and as a result, the internet's become highly unreliable here. I still can't access my own server via FTP.
and to add some car-related content...
I've been driving around in one of these here:

To say that it is slow would be a huge understatement. The 1.5l 105hp engine and a slushbox don't sit too well with the steep hills here. The roads are great fun nonetheless - much more so than the flat grid we have in Toronto!

Where is a good place to buy camera equipment in HK? Somewhere easy to find.

What are you looking for specifically? The big-box retailers (Fortress, Broadway) here carry most things at decent prices, but if you're looking for something more specific you may want to head to a camera shop. DC Fever is pretty good.

It even has a full leather interior and parking sensors, and the current model has stock HIDs afaik. Still has that tiny 1.5l engine that almost makes the 1.8l version sold in North America seem like a sports car in comparison.

Clem, how much you pay for the car rental? I'll be back to HK for a mth @Mar, I might get one, but parking spot should be the problem.

It's not a rental. I think Crown Motors rents out Corollas for HK$660/day though - pretty expensive.

Amazing picture of the city! I should be out there one of these months to visit my buddy at Cathay village. Looks nice! Never been to that part of the world.
