This will be a $20.00 buy in tournament, with a chance to rebuy for $20.00 (there will be a time limit to rebuy in). Tables will merge as is necessary and blinds will increase every 20 mins.

i am expecting to start all players with 100 dollars worth of chips

i am looking for a good turnout for this event, last time we had a good TM3 turnout. I am changing this to a sunday as i feel more people may be able to get away for a sunday afternoon and evening of poker!

4:00 sharp start (arrive 330 chill and get set up)
rebuy until 7
(blinds are already like 10/20 by then)
if the big stacks play smart
done by 10 for sure!

i could do a sat instead if more people prefer it!

I was asking the guys last AA meet about a Poker game, I'd definitely be in. As for timing I don't have a problem with Sunday, Saturday I can't do.

ahhh no one wants to do a friday or saturday night? re buy until 7 i think is too long the blinds would be kinda of high in 3 hours. maybe 1 or 1.5 hours of re buys and then thats it....anyways what ever the date you can count me in...

excellent, i have never put re buyins into a tourney that i held, so not sure when to stop them, i dont think most people would want to rebuyin much after 2 hours anyways, buying in upto 20X the big blind is not bad!

i did fridays before, and we have decent turnout, but it always goes way too late, sat is hard cause i work, and can't hold it then!

For buy in's the way I always play with my friends is that after an X amount of players is out then there are no more buy ins. Usually 2-3 players, it's better that way vs the time limit.

Unless you want to play 1/2 No limit? cash in, cash out...

how many people do you ususally have when you stop rebuy ins after 2 or 3 out?

i say you do re buys for a certain period of time....maybe like 30 minutes...so there would be unlimited rebuys and then after that it can start...and during the 30 minutes or whatever it is

You could keep the the same schedule and have re-buys end after the second ante increase.

I'd also recommend a bounty.
each bounty chip = $5

(Each player holds a bounty chip. A bounty counts for every person you knock out permanently out of the tournament, that person knocked-out hands over their bounty chip to the person that knocks them out. example: If you knock out 5 people you have 5 bounty chips plus the one you own, so you have 6 of them.. but if you get knocked out, you only give up the one you own. So you still make $25)

So payout is Winner takes all minus the bounty payout.
(which the bounty is 25% of initial buy-ins).
Additional buy-ins don't account for another bounty chip.

I've done tournaments before. With this schedule and dealers would take about 4-5hours.

This bounty chip seems interesting, i will talk it over with the other hosts and see what the think. It is nice when the top few spots get some cash!

people who get knocked out, are welcome to hang around and get whatever game they wish going, so cash guy where u can buy in or out whenever you want or a small sit n' go.

about rebuyins - lets settle that now

how about this, rebuyins are finished at the 3rd increase (so an even hour, at 20 minute blind increases), they are not much good after that anyways.

it will be a free game, and you will have rules provided and you will have help (once the first few people are out of the tournament, lol not sure if you want there help hahaha)

hey alex good tournament
we should set another one up again.. i have the same 4 friends that wants to play + 1 more he couldn't make it out yesterday. i have a better idea how to give out chips and and the blinds structure. but the unlimited rebuys for one hour is great...good way to build up the pot.

Another tourney in 2 weeks? hahahaha

and for all the other mazda people that was suppose to go and didn't show up
you saved yourself some money because it all would of been mine!!!
