I recently started getting a odd noise (sounds like somebody sanding a piece of wood),only when I start the engine cold, once warmed up to temp its gone.It 'seems' to be coming directly from the Drive Belt Tensioner location. But I get no smell and no voltage warning light. I know theres a TSB on this but my vehicle dosen't fall into the serial number range.Just wondering because I haven't seen it mentioned here before... Has anyone had a problem with their's and what was the outcome?
Thanks,

.
I know that my belt whines when its cold, its kinda nerving. I took it to my dealer and they said nothings wrong, "it's just the belt" and sent me on my way.
Maybe there is a way to adjust the belt manually?

service manual info for the generator/alternator drive belt scroll down (http://www.icestormdesign.com/mwcc/mazda/manual/esicont/en/srvc/html/B3E011015800W06.html)...
as well, visual inspection of the drivebelt tension (http://www.icestormdesign.com/mwcc/mazda/manual/esicont/en/srvc/html/B3E011015800W05.html)
