Dude, I just went through this huge ordeal getting a replacement battery for our notebook. I got a generic one off of eBay from a member with amazing feedback. It arrived about a week after auctions end, I popped it in, and it didn't fit perfectly, but well enough. Turn the thing on and the battery is buzzing. I immediately took it out and returned it to the seller for a full refund. Then a co-worker told me about this local 'shop' called Notebook Solutions (www.notebooksolutions.ca). It isn't really a shop, but rather a family run business out of their home, but they do amazing work. I've had them repair the LCD on my laptop and replace the battery. Both times they were very reasonably priced, quick turnaround, and excellent customer service. Give them a shout (ask for Dan). They're located near Fairview Mall in North York.

Are you basing that on their website or after talking to them? I ask because I have taken two laptops to them neither of which was an Acer or Toshiba and they were able to get the parts needed no problem at great prices!

talking to them.. i called yesterday and they said for marts they deal exclusively with the above companies and then he said "but if your laptop is broken we can fix it" .. it didn't sound liek he'd 'fix' the battery tho..

maybe they are your people ;) although the guy sounded polish.. wanna call them for me? :)

My first laptop battery lasted us about 2.5 years and that's after being charged pretty much every night. Not bad considering how much we use it.
