I know he isnt a member but he sells a ton of stuff for the 3 on ebay.

I have dealt with him twice in the past and had okay experience..

1) USB/Aux adapter took 4 weeks to arrive and then needed to be modified to work half the time...

2) Clear Rear reflectors/3rd Brake Light, paid way too much, but wanted them anyways.

Up until now, I have been okay, and he clearly knows that some of the items he sells, no one else has... and he prices them accordingly. But recently after requested a quote on a couple of things, he quoted me, I replied, I sent the money by paypal and he cancelled the order 24 hrs & 13 mins later... (The 13 min is important because I lost $18 buck in currency exchange because of the 13 mins)

He sent me an email saying, "I messed up with the quote, buy your stuff somewhere else."

Just letting everyone know how things work with him, this all happening after 2 previous transactions totalling over $500.

Thanks for the info Jeff. He's had some very shady reviews on M3F as well. I think majic used to call him "highway robobery" because of his inflated prices that make him 200% profit (cheap asian labour).

Jeff-TheBiz

From what I have seen on M3F he drops his prices when there is a large group buy, but otherwise a generous 5% reduction to a repeat client, and then he messes up on the simple math....

Meh..

Meh..

Just make sure no one else buying from him again. If he's so expensive either he's making it himself or he's got some people who only supply him.

Do we know who they are? Cause I think it's a taiwan based company. They have alot of imitation car parts that are a little 'shady'.

Actually that would be fantastic!

Here is some of what he offers... I don't think it is the performance stuff that people buy from him (mostly people that stuff locally like from you)

http://stores.ebay.ca/SpeedLine-International_Mazda-3-Axela_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ4QQftidZ2QQtZkm

It is more like the cosmetic stuff, lips, mirrors, reflectors etc.

as a note, patrique, i would be interested in smoked reflectors depending on price, i am not sure what others would be interested in??

I posted this on the old forum but I'll bring it up again now:

About a year ago I purchased the Audiolink iPod adapter from him through eBay. He sent it to me late, but I was okay with that. I hooked it up and it did not work properly. It charged the iPod even when the key was removed from the ignition, and the neither the steering wheel controls nor those on the actual head unit controlled the iPod as advertised.

I complained to him and he questioned my install abilities (it literally just plugs into the back of the deck). After a few e-mails he finally admits to me that he has been having numerous problems with the units and that he would refund my money and the cost of return shipping as long as I did not tell anyone as he intended to continue selling them. I believe the issue with the unit has now been resolved so anything thinking of getting one shouldn't worry, but this guy is shady.

Hi,
I’ve been trying to place an order through your website, but it wouldn’t let me add anything to my shopping cart. I wanted to get the Mazda3 OEM Folding Mirrors and the Mazda3 Doubledin Navigation Install Kit without climate control. I am also looking for a centre console gauge pod for 60mm gauges (something like this one http://www.japanparts.com/db/partslist.php?dealer=6&car=95&middlesmall=2% 3A 10&maker=&volkey= ). I was also hoping to negotiate a combined deal for all those items.
Best Regards,Vlad.

Well, i contaced him through ebay, and asked that he respond to my email address.

My enquiry was as to whether he had shipped the product that i order. He responded in one day, appologizing for not contacting me to confirm he recieved my payment, and to confirm that he had shipped my order.

So Provided shipment doesnt take forever . . . i will be happy with this transaction!!!

Sorry to hear Jeff, thats a pain in the a$$ and the worst part is that when they refunded the money it goes on hold first, takes 8-10 days to Canadian accounts and then another 8-10 days to get the money back on your bank account or credit card from your pay pal account.

Its happening to me after I bought some stuff while i was on NY, i try to get it ship to my address there but the seller backed out when he saw that i had a Canadian address and i was asking the shipping to NY and i had told him about it, but i don't know what those guys do that they don't remember anything.

I bought from him, even after reading our reviews.
I bought Cross Floor Brace. It was cheap, considering the alternative. I got the part in less than a week. I was surprised. The part is very good, and fits where it should.
Floor cover had to be trimmed to fit.
So for me it was a good experience.

Thought I would bump this thread as I just dealt with TheSpeedLine.com about mirrors (http://www.thespeedline.us/servlet/the-211/08-pls--Mazda3-Mazdaspeed3-LED/Detail)

Ordered the Mazda3 LED heated mirrors (http://www.ebay.com/itm/09-10-Mazda3-Blue-Tint-LED-Wide-Angle-Mirror-Mazda-3-BL-/150408173610?hash=item230506982a&item=150408173610&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr) and they arrived in five days for $25 shipping. They were in perfect condition, but the blue tint combined with the slightly more convex curve and low winter light levels combine to lower visual acuity compared to stock mirror glass. It is damn difficult to glance at the mirror and be confident of the information you see. It would be like wearing sunglasses in dark conditions which is not what I was after. The product description describes them as "Blue Tint which reduces glare and improves clarity" which I disagree with.

I contacted the seller and they were totally disinterested in any sort of resolution. My advice is to steer clear of this seller based on their ambivalence towards any customer care!

Noisy Crow

I have blue tint wide angle mirrors and find them to be one of the best mods to my car. Did take a while getting used to them, but now I really miss them when driving other cars. Much better view of behind and out to the side, and the tint cuts ricer HID glare almost as well as my auto dim rear view mirror.

As far as Speed lines customer service..... yeah, lots of reports of it being marginal. Unfortunately a lot of the stuff they sell isn't readily available elsewhere.
