I'm preparing for some mods I'll be doing the next few months, so I started to shop around and just wanted some input on prices I've gotten so far. Here's the list:

Vibrant Header $580
Injen Intake $335
Koni sport (yellows) $780
h&r springs $380

Good, bad or ugly?

I know I might be able to get better prices on the intake and springs by going with different brands, though I've done my research and am pretty much set on these.

Any input would be great,

Thanks,
Kevin

Intake you can probably get it cheaper then $335.
koni's are a good deal! But i'm selling mine out you might want to check that out soon!
any particular reason you want to go for H&R?
You can get eibach prokits for $100 less and they work the same. Infact maybe they'll do a better job then H&Rs.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I might take you up on your koni's. How long have you had them and when are you planning to sell?

As for going for h&r, I'm looking to drop the front more. Actually looking for 1.5"f 1.3"r which Skunk2 has, though I haven't found spring rates, whether it's progressive or linear nor have i found and user reviews on them. 1.3 and 1.2 (which is h&r's drop) is ok, but your right, in that case I might as well go with pro-kit. Don't think that .1 will make much of a difference in appearance.

edit: I just noticed that these prices include tax. Sweet!

I'm still not 100% sure when i'm going to take them out as i have no idea when the new coilovers are coming out. As soon as they come out, i'm going to place an order and i'm going ot take my setup out and sell them.
I've had them on for about 5 months give or take.

lol... I hope you didn't work to hard on that one :p

Anyways, I've searched around on eibach pro-kits, here and at mazda3forums rate the drop at 1.2" all around. On retailer sites I've seen 1.4"F / 1.2"R, so yea, what's the actual drop?

Look at my sig.

front and rear with 205/50/17 tires will leave you with 1 finger gap between the wheel and fender

Hmm.. think I'll go with the prokits then. Though I'll be running on 18x7.5 with 35 profile. :D

your speedo will be off a bit with a profile of 35... Usually people with 18's stick with 225/40/18

Yea, not to mention 40's will be cheaper. I'm looking to get volk ce28n, but they cost more then all these mods together plus install! so i'm looking at about 4K+ with rims and rubber. Money isn't really the issue, it's the justification.

I was wondering about the weight of stock 17", anyone know? I know the ce28n are about 14lbs w/o rubber.

Stocks i think are 21lbs each.

CE28n eh? Go for the time attacks CE28n. they look so hawt!

Still waiting on any justification on getting these rims ;)

Wow I'm surprised a lowered mazda 3 can take a offset so low with 19X8...
I wonder that the +6 means...??

5-114.3 +43(+6mm)RBC

Just some advice if you were to get these rims I'd suggest the +48...
