I've asked this question before and got some good information but forgot to print it out. I believe someone said there was an ECU for the 3...I forgot the price though....anyone have one or know of one??

Are you talking about a stand alone or a piggyback?

I know that the Haltech FX10X is used in some M3 applications to control fuel, but I do not believe there is a plug and play replacement for the M3 ECU.

What were you looking at doing? Just "chipping" it for a few HP?

I'm pretty sure that's what he meant.

No luck, I've looked far and wide. No 'chipping', apparently its not possible with the Mazda 3 ECU.

Unless you get a Universal AEM ECU. I think!!

Universals are the only option right now.

Well I was just asking...yes "Chipping" you could say...but I meant stand alone or even piggyback...is there either? From what 3GFX said, I guess I wouldn't even bother looking for one.

I believe there are stand alone's but I don't think they're Mazda 3 specific. If your looking for mods (stage wise) check out this thread:

There are always forced induction options, where there's a will there's a way!

Thank you 3GFX,
It seems there is a stand along engine management system from microtech...it is stated under "Stage 3"
