I've just had a new Compustar 2W900FMR in my new 07 M3GT however we have ran into some major problems and cannot figure out what is happening. The alarm itself and remote starter work, however, it appears to be a problem with the actual Mazda module in the car under the glove box. The problem is the rear doors are always showing that they are open no matter what the installer attempted. Added to this problem, my auto headlights no longer work, the parking brake light in the dash does not light up when the parking brake is engaged, the rear defroster no longer works either. These are just the problems i've found on the drive from the shop to my house (about 5 mins).

Anyways, we tried another Mazda module from another 3 and everything works fine. What the hell could we have done to mine? Does anyone have any ideas? The only remaining option is to take the car to the dealership and have a diagnostic scan done to see if that comes up with the problem.

Anyhelp would be great.

I have an 07 sport gt, and got the same alarm/starter and when I was looking around many place told me they had problems with the doors (Apparently it has something to do with the resistors or resistants). When they installed mine they had to order in another unit or module as it was not working, not sure if it the compustar or the mazda module that was the problem that had to change, as they do alot of work for a mazda dealership.

not sure about the defroast, but the headlights should be fine unless he shorted something as he should have only been tapping in to the parking brake. It sounds like it is your module as another 3 module works fine in your car.

Yah, you need some diode not resistor for the doors, as the electricity flows backward.

Everything else should work fine.

Thanks for the help everybody. The problem has been solved. No new PJB required. The rear door pins somehow both broke/malfunctioned. I don't know how but after we replaced them everything was as good as new. Very strange but heck I don't care, everything works now.
