What does she like? Typical flowers or teddy bear?

I'm glad I don't have to do Valentines this year last year I spent over $500 at the Pantages Hotel downtown.

Well the good thing is she's not into flowers so i can skip that. And those stuff animals, shes already got a huge enormous winnie the pooh that i got her for christmas.
Staying home making dinner will be a good choice. But i think i still need to get her something.

My wife and I told each other that the Wii we bought would be our gift to each other this year. I'm still having 18 long stem red roses sent to her office on the 14th though.

I made one of those photoalbums online at Black's of our honeymoon.
She's into scrapbooking and creative stuff like that.
Only $35!! and the chicks dig the "effort" and sentimental stuff like that!

But I don't think it'll be delivered on time so I might
try cooking dinner.....

Problem is, everything i make is inedible.
Anyone got quick, EASY, 'romantic' recipies??

oh yeah, and the usual flowers to her office too.

V-day is a scam.

Sending flowers to your loved one is so much more meaningful if its sent on a totally random day.

Most guys feel they are obligated on V-day to send flowers and most women only want flowers sent to them at the office just so they can show that they got flowers on V-day. They could care less about any meaning behind them.

IMO

If you really want to get some "brownie points"... get some flowers or edible arrangements sent to her work! Its really not about her liking flowers or anything.. you are just trying to get her coworkers to Ooooh and AAaaah and reassure your g/f that you are so thoughtful.
Definite horizontal polka action when she gets home!! lol

If you only get your wife or SO flowers once a year and its on VD, than I agree with you. If you regularly buy your wife or SO flowers, VD is a must. I typically get my wife flowers once every three weeks or so, but I get all different varieties.

I will say this, if your wife or SO is at work and a co-worker gets flowers and she does not, how do you think that makes her feel?

Really? A girl that doesn't like flowers? From my experience, all girls will appreciate flowers - even if they say that they don't like it.

Has anyone here been to La Castile Steak House
on Dundas/427??

Wifey mentioned she wanted to go there.
Any reviews would be helpful.

you can go to ice.com and find lots of goodies there heh.. their stuff is always 'on sale' so you're bound to find something w/o breaking the bank.. free fedex shipping too! no duties since it's shipped from mtrl and if you go through RFD you'll get additional 20% off (or through airmiles.ca)

Yeah, I've been there twice for work dinners.
Cost per dish is above average. (sorry don't remember exactly how much and don't want to guess).
Food is alright. (They're good but I don't recall being "wowed" - I've had better but this is very subjective)
It's a very old Castle like environment inside. (From the actual design of the building to lighting to the chairs you sit in and to the butler type waiters)

Honestly I would never go there if it wasn't for work. It's not my thang. I'd rather goto a more modern restaurant in Toronto.

But if your wife wants to go, then you should probably satisfy her curiosity and take her no matter what other people say.

You could always follow these easy steps:

Step 1: Cut a hole in the box.

Step 2: Stick your junk in the box.

Step 3: Make her open the box.
