View Full Version : Coffee Rant.

Sorry but I need to get this off my chest.

Is it too much to ask to have a good cup of coffee in the morning? Seriously! I get in the office and there is a fresh pot of coffee ready for the taking. I’m stunned! Usually there’s only half the carafe when I arrive. But this time the Gods saw fit to let me have the first cup.

I pour…

I add sugar (not that Nutra-sh*t crap you young people use)

I add some milk. Yes that’s right Milk! When you get to my age you have to look out for your bones so bite me.

I stir it ever so softly and then take a sip.

It tasted like Broli pissed in my coffee. Having not acquired the taste of “Broli pissed in coffee” I can tell you I was not happy. The last five years in my office we have had the worst coffee known to man. I just don’t understand. We’ve paid good money for coffee makers and in the end all we get is variations of dark coloured water that tastes like flem. WE CAN PUT A MAN ON THE GOD DAMN FARKING MOON but apparently good coffee in my office is the illusive Holy Grail. I’ve been so desperate some days that I’ve even taken to getting a cup of Starbucks coffee

*Collective Gasp*

Yes that right. I’m so desperate for coffee I’m willing to pay what amounts to my left testicle for a cup of “I have no farking idea what but they call it coffee.” Normally, I’d just spit the coffee out in to the sink but that wouldn’t be fair to the sink. So instead I have to sit here, endure my clients with this cup of sh*t.

To the coffee Gods out there. YOU ALL SUCK!

I count myself among the crack junkies. :)

So here's what you do... go out and get yourself one of these.

http://www.cuisinart.com/catalog/product.php?product_id=10&item_id=25&cat_id=3

That's what I've got. Works magic.

Now pick up a can of Tim Horton's coffee grinds. They sell them at Tim's and they sell them at grocery stores.

There's a little scoop that comes with the coffee maker. Use one level scoop per cup of water. Perfect coffee every time!

My name is Neil and I am a coffee addict.

They don't have good earl grey at Second Cup, that's why I settle for the Mint/Chammomile combo. At home I have the best earl grey, Wisotsky.

the poor quality coffe at the affice was exactly the reason why i gave up the whole coffee drinking idea entirely. Now I only drink tea and only earl grey.

And if in the afternoon i still can't keep my eyes open, then there's always RedRave - the best tasting energy drink ever.

my coworkers look at me weird when i'm going for my 4th espresso of the day (read before noon). and no i'm not going to starbucks, although we have one right down the road. We have two espresso machines in the office, going from the old office at adidas to this new office had one amazing benefit and that was the coffee.

but i'm not saying i'm addicted, i can give it up when ever i want. I just choose not to

Cardinal ***, here I was going to support you, but then you pull shiet like that.

But I'd rather support the coffee movement than to let them numb nutted panty-hose wearing tea lovers jack this thread.

If you want quality coffee, stop whining and buy yourself a cup from Timmies or Starbux you cheap a$$. Quality and office coffee don't mix.

this is a great thread!

tea is good when you don't feel like having a coffee, when your sick, when you had a night that was rough on your throat (LOL, shut up), but mostly tea is good when your testicles have shrivelled and fallen off!

heh. I'm having a slow day today. Can you tell??

I should go get a coffee and hang out in front of my building watching them roll in cars for the autoshow.

Coming back from lunch, I watched them scrape the front lip of the GT3 while taking it out of the truck. :)

3GFX
02-12-2007, 02:58 PM
Lmao that sucks. Why bother going to the show when you can just watch :p

I remember being there for importfest when they were packing up, its cool to here some of the cars run.

Wild Weasel
02-12-2007, 03:00 PM
It's funny to watch a car jockey stalling a Porsche. :)

I'll be going to the show some evening next week, though I'm not sure how much new there will be. I went to the Detroit show last month for the first time in years. Watching the cars roll in has become a bit of annual tradition here for me. :)

stop dissing coffee!!!

a good cup of coffee Melitta european blend cofee (which you buy at Dominion, put into a coffee machine, add water, wait) and a good cigarette makes the day good, especially if you enjoy the combo on a balcony and its nice out.

p.s. yes it is addictive but it is also an acquired taste
p.p.s. going to timmies, starbucks, seconds cup, etc is money wasted unless you are meeting with friends there. coffee in those places is worse then Broli' piss when he has a hangover.
p.p.p.s. i'm a tea drinker too, and tea here is shit as well.

can someone explain to me why do coffee shops serve coffee or tea, boiling hot, it gets to the point of coffee tasting like something was burned in the coffee machine.

how is the hotter the better? you can't even enjoy it, its simply discuisting, even when it cools down. i understand it being good when they serve it in the same way as they surve coffee in europe. for example when you order turkish coffee (thats the style and type of coffee for those that dont kmow), they also give u a small cup of water so that you sip the water to cool down ur throat and toungue.

You're a girl right... or is this what you drink when you can't fall asleep?

Don't get me completely wrong - tea is nice - preferrably steeped to the point that it's dark as coffee.

I need my coffee - and like someone else said, yeah when if comes to coffee drinkers, it's like we're crack addicts...
