The wife wants to try a Korean bbq place. I've been to one across the street from the MuchMusic building downtown. I was hoping you guys know of a place mid-town Toronto or even in the Markham area. Any place you guys recommend?

I use to got to the one at Commerce Gate all the time but I've heard some bad stuff about that place.

There's a ton of authentic Korean BBQ places in North York. I would recommend Seoul House off of Orfus Rd. A little bit further than what you're looking for but the food is great and the people are actually Korean.

+1 for authentic korean restaurants. Never go to the all you can eat korean places as all of most of them are dirty as Fu*k.

Search around North york especially yonge and finch area, you'll find tons of korean restaurants there. They have normal dinner and BBQ. Expect the price to be a little higher then eating all you can eat. But its totally worth it.

I've heard there's some good spots on Bloor & Christie area of town. My boss recommends the one at Yonge and Bloor area, don't know what's it's called off hand.

All I know is that I prefer Korean BBQ's with actual Koreans working there! The Korean Grill House chain is ran by Chinese I think.

Wow! That place is really busy with long line-up. The food was good but the service is a bit slow.

Thanks for the warning.

Yonge and sheppard there's a place with this red sign. I can't remember the name. But they have 'Beef Tar tar' if your gutsy enough to eat it :p

Yeah, try to pick an authentic Korean restaurant owned/operated by Korean people.
I actually don't go out for "Korean BBQ" very often so can't really recommend. It's best at home :)

I really liked it. It's been around for years and years.
Run by Mr. & Mrs. Lee, real friendly ppl. Korean, I think.

On the North side of Bloor just west of Honest Ed's (Bathurst ).
