View Full Version : Does MSP3 stereo play mp3 cd's?

Just wondering whether the system in the MSP3 with the 6-disc changer plays mp3's.

I know there's a jack in the console to plug in an mp3 player. I'm just wondering whether you can fill 6 cd's with mp3's and just load them all into the head unit.

what does it say on mazda canada? :P

probably not.. but i'm only basing this on previous models where 6cd changer was just that and an mp3 deck was just that.. i think the premium pkg had a 6cd mp3 changer but don't hold me to that ;) looking at mazda.ca now :P

Wait, we still use a 200 CD-changer at home. :blush

I suspected this. Ah well... at least it's got the aux jack on it.

Incidentally... have you tried to play cdrw's in it? I can't imagine why it wouldn't work... as it probably does in any deck made after 02 or so... but my deck plays cdr's but not cdrw's, which sucks, so I figure it's worth asking. :)

Why would you use CD-RW's? Just get CD-R's. They're dirt cheap.

I know. But cdrw's are convenient. Just keep using the same ones over and over. Then I never run out...

That's hardly convenient. What if you want to listen to an album that you erased over? Then you have to go back and burn it again...

if it helps.. i tried cd-rws on my stock deck.. and then the mp3 deck.. i forget the results tho ;) lol
