Did you paint the dash trim piece and controls on the steering wheel red yourself? I sat in a MS3 at the Autoshow, and don't remember seeing red. Yours really stands out, so I don't think I could of missed something like that, or could I of?

I hate to be the one to spoil the parade, although im sure the unit is a good one, the way it looks inside looks cheap to me. The gaps at the top are noticable, it makes it look like cheap plastic. You have a great car in the speed 3. My opinion you messed it up big time with that navi and the trim pieces. looks like something a kid in a neon would do.

Just my opinion, please dont take in personally

To be honest.... the pictures do not do the fit/finish justice. In person, the system looks very good and probably one of the best fit/finish I have seen on any mazda3. But everyone is entitled to their opinion........ Check it out in person though.

It's amazing how a flash can bring out the worst in something, eh? I'm sure that tiny gap along the time is completely invisible in person but when some metallic bits back there light up from the flash, the pic makes it look obvious.

Personally There is no gap... Its a bad camera angle...

If you guys are talking about the small gap on the top of the screen, without the small gap, the screen would have a hard time dropping to eject the HD / disc.

Its a clean job, a clean look and to top it all off... It matches the interior panels, unlike others i've seen.

Good Job, Mazdaspeed, and don't take the criticism literally.

I've seen the install in person, and let me assure you it is just the camera angle. The install is really clean, and the unit itself is very impressive. Vlad knows his stuff, and his selection of what goes into his own car shows it.

The pictures don't do the real thing justice.

It's just too bad the double din kit doesn't match the interior of the '04-'05's (and maybe even the '06's). I was going to get a set-up just like that but for that cost I wanted something that matched 100%

I have an '04, and it matches my interior perfectly. I have the same Z1 as Vlad.
