HI Mazda3 people.

Just picked mine up last week. 2007 Carbon Grey Mica sedan GT. I always liked the 3 and would come to this website often to see what people would say about it. So I guess now that I have one and I might aswell join the gang.

My previous car was a 1995 Z24. I bought it 12 years ago and it's been a pretty good car. It started over heating last week and that when I decided it was time to get rid of it.

So after 1 week of ownership I can see why all you guys are so passonate about your cars. It's a pretty sweet ride.

So HI to all and hope to meet some of you at the meetings.

P.S. I live and bought the car in Brampton. Pretty good experience.

The Z24 was pretty good. For what I paid for it 12 years ago and it lasting me that long without any major repairs. Back then it was pretty cool. It was the first Z24 that dealership sold and people never saw that car on the road. I had people telling me to roll down my windows and asking me if that was the new Z24. I also had guys wanting to race because it was the first year the Z24 had a Quad4 motor. Previously it had a V6 with 10 less HP but a lot more torque.

You can't even compare a Mazda3 with a Z24. The 3 is better in every way.

Ahhh.. the "Quad-4" I had that in my Grand-am in 88' and in my 97 Sunfire GT.. That Sunfire was no slouch back then.

P.S. I've had my 3 for almost 2 weeks now and the more I look at it and drive it the more I like it. It was pretty sad seeing my Z24 go after 12 years but driving and looking at the 3 is making me feel a lot better. I washed it for the first time today. Yes, hand wash on my driveway. I nearly froze to death but it was worth it. It almost felt like I was washing a BMW. I didn't notice how much the back fenders stick out a bit. Pretty cool.
