The distance is twice the amount of driving.. 2 hours there, 2 hours back for a total of 4 extra hours :P

Anyways, I hope I'll be able to make it down for the weekend.. I used to go to Toronto twice a month so I don't mind the drive all that much.. Car shouldn't be stock for much longer which is good!

i kinda liked that giant convoy, but i think splitting up would be a better idea, we'll just need it preorganized didnt seam like we could get it done in last minute or two in 06.

it also depends where its going to be.....where is it going to be?

Okay lets assume 50 + cars. If u guys can decide to pick 3 judges that would be great. THank you.

I shall have a detailed judge sheet put in place shortly so everyone will know what they are judged on way prior to the show as to avoid any BS that might be associated later on.

If anyone has cop friends, they can ask them how we go about getting a police escort for our convoy. That way we can keep everyone together.

If anyone has cop friends, they can ask them how we go about getting a police escort for our convoy. That way we can keep everyone together.

as sick as that would be, i highly doubt cops will care enough to escort us, they will more likely just hand out tickets to us. (don't get excited justin, i'm not trying to repeat the same argument as in summer, althought i wounldnt mind increasing my post count)

they will create some sort of an excuse to not allow it or say its dangerous or some other sort of an (word censored for justins sake) argument. but then miracles do happen even when it comes to York regional police.

but then on the other hand didnt someone contact the York regional police last year to let them know we are having a cruise? if i'm not mistaking i think it was justin. i'm just curious as to what they said.

for what? we are a law obiding club, that doesnt tolerate anything of illegal nature especially during a cruise or an official event....

we also dont tolerate presence of civics within 100meters of any mazda3.

HAHAHAHA!

You guys have "tolerated" me for the last 3+ years. Explain that!

Anything for a female, eh?

However, as much as we don't tolerate illegal activities, every once in a while, we get some odd-ball coming on the boards and registering, talking about racing and stuff, and/or trying to show off. And when things like that happen, it's hard to prevent others from showing off as well. :loco

Hey just something for the commitee to think about.

I read in Mazdasport magazine that Seven Stock (RX7 Stock) had a best car competition similar to ours. The neat thing about their competition was that it was an online poll. I'm wondering if that's possible for MOM. A poll held online for all the cars submitted, and then the cars are rewarded at the show.

Just an idea to consider although i realize its a little late in the game.

It give a lot more participation in my opinion which makes for a more fair competition. Plus it give each owner the possibility to explain their car. For example an RX7 owner may not notice how one of us may match our dsh strip paint, or notice a reversed LCD display.

Each club could have a vote on their cars. For example, here we pic 1 or 2 sedans and 1 or 2 hatch's from our forum to compete in MOM. Each club pics 1 or 2 cars. We end up with a few cars in each category and at that point, everyone can vote on an MOM thread somewhere.

Just an idea....throw it in at the next meeting guys.

Hi this is Matt again, I run the show and shine component of MOM2007. Lets remember that all classes of Mazda Vehicles shall be fairly represented at the event, I shall make sure, as well as this is a fun event and is meant to be more laid back than a serious car competition show. As I have experience in both fun events and serious competition events, both as a judge and a competitor it should turn out okay. Please keep the ideas coming as it gives us topics to discuss at the meetings on your behalf.
