Looking through the British MPS brochure, I noticed that they mention the "Sports Aero Kit" model comes with "stiffer Eibach springs".

So far as I can tell, the Sports Aero Kit model is most like the one we have here in North America. The lower end one is missing a lot of things such as the distinct mirrors and rear spoiler.

I'm wondering whether Eibach is the manufacturer for Mazdaspeed's springs.

Any insiders have any info on this? :)

Those mirrors remind me of the old BMW M3 mirrors. Not feeling them at all.

As far as Eibach manfacturing the springs for Mazda, maybe they do maybe they don't. JPAV8S4U might be able to enlighten us since he bought the Mazdaspeed springs.

I'm not talking about aftermarket springs though. I'm wondering if Eibach makes the OEM springs for Mazdaspeed.

Why does it matter?

Why does it matter?

IIRC, he's buying a Speed3, so he wanted to know... it's a valid question IMO.

It is a valid question... though I'm a little ashamed of the answer...

My wife likes seatbelt pads. She hates having the belt on her neck in the summer, so the pads make it more comfortable for her.

Right now I've got red pads with an Eibach logo stitched into them. They're nice, and match my interior well.

The Speed3 also has a black and red interior, so they'd go well there too.

If the Speed3 has Eibach springs, then they won't be out of place and I don't have to buy new pads. :)

Now everyone point and laugh... :bana2

Of course I do.

Custom Eibach coilover springs, bought to replace the ones that came with the Ground Control kit. Of course, those were also Eibachs since that's all GC uses. I just wanted slightly different springs than what they came with.

OMG I can't believe it!

Well you could always just replace them with Type R pads :chuckle

Kinda off topic, but I just got some Mazda seat belt pads through eBay. Not for the seat belts though. They're for the top strap that will be needed for the upcoming baby seat - to protect the back seats. ;)

Under the assumption that speed3 kits are the same as regular 3, or at least close to.
Eibach
Prokit
Drop: 1.2" front 1.2" rear
Spring Rate: (F) 160 (R) 171
Spring Type: Linear, Single Rate

Mazdaspeed
Drop: 1.2" (30 mm) front 1.2" (30 mm) rear

I know someone else makes them (eibach) i am just wondering if the standar prokit is identical to the MS springs since the ms ones obviously cost more
