Hi , i have been riding on my prokits for about 2 months and was wondering if an alignment was necessary . My car tracks straight but is very sensitive on the highway .

Yes you would most likely would want to get an alignment. It will save the life of your rubbers and/or should also improve on your gas mileage slightly.

Keep in mind that an alignment also consists of adjusting the camber and caster, not just the toe. Camber is the most affected thing when lowering a car - and you wouldn't notice it most of the time until your tires are worn out on the insides.

I think alignment is a must, even with the slightest of drops. Ride with no alignment and find yourself with crazy tire wear on the inside of your tires from whacked up camber.

How much does camber alignment run for anyway?

If I'm running h-techs right now which have similar drop to pro-kit, is a rear camber kit necessary?

I have the eibach camber kit "spc" but some say that you can do without

if you put camber links on when you drop the car is it necessary to still get an alignment?

For a four wheel alignment , do my wheels have to come off? I am getting it done at dave wood mazda .

Nothing on the car needs to be removed in order to perform alignment... other than dead weight that would normally NOT be in the car during daily driving.

I am running on H-techs right now and I can honestly say that a camber kit is not necessary. After looking at the camber specs when i got an alignment done, I still fall within spec (altho its the higher end of it).

The drop on the sedan is not as great as hatch. Does that have any change on camber?

That all depends on whether or not your camber is in spec. Typically, greater the drop = whacked camber numbers = more tire wear

See how it rides first. A lot of pro kit riding members haven't had to re-align or get a camber kit.

I would recommend an alignment but a camber kit is NOT necessary for pro-kits

I'm doing alignment for sure and I have h-techs, just asked my questions in here since they are really similar. I'm waiting until I put my summers back on. I hope it doesn't wear down my winters.

First off, Why do it at Dave Wood Mazda when you can get into the Alignment GB and if your car is within specs you don't pay...?!
Second, what year is your car? Only reason I'm asking is because its a good practice to get the alignment checked every couple of years anyways.
As for which tires you should have on at the time of the alignment, I don't believe it makes a difference but in my case I'll be putting the RSA/Rims back on before, just to be sure since those are used most of the year and they were the ones on there with factory specs. Also from what some people have said you most likely won't need the camber kit as apparently the Pro-kits do not put the alignment out of whack, but you never know so hold onto them until its checked. You could always sell them to someone if you don't need them.
