Just a quick question for those of you out there with GFX package on your cars. Since acquiring my 06 GT with GFX in early March of this year, i have only washed my car in coin operated car washes for fear of ripping up the skirts in a regular car wash. Am I being paranoid, or can i take it to the regular car wash without damaging anything?

I go through the esso touchless and I am fine. I went through a Petro with the tracks and got stuck once. I am lowered 1.2" on prokits. I backed out and it was the most painful sound I've ever heard! I must have scraped for a foot or so.

I was in Flippy's car when he put it thru a shell wash with rails.
Lowered on S-techs (i think)

It didn't help to have me and blue_dragon in the car but the scrapping sound was painful to hear..
That said, you would have no problems with a stock height.

Either if you're lowered or not i still do'nt recommend going thru car wash with tracks. The tracks will scratch your rims and you're gonna cry after it happens. Since there are so many gas stations out there with touchless rail less car wash, its better to keep your car nice and scratch/pain free.

The tracks will scratch your rims and you're gonna cry after it happens.

But when this does happen the gas station is willing to compensate --- Esso gave my friend some money after his winter rims got scratched from the rails (woodbine + 16th).

Remind you that he didnt get much , but he got something none the less .

Rail less is the only way to go if you don't wash by hand.

A form co-worker of mine had her car damaged when the car wasn't on the track properly. The gas station paid for the repairs even though there was a use at your own risk sign. The repair wasn't very good and seeing as they fixed it out of good faith she was stuck with a shitty repair job on her new car.

i used to go on touchless with rails, before i dropped my car and got new rims!

with my winters, i honestly wouldnt care about them getting scrached, but i dont want to scrape or rub, touchless/no rails, is a good option for the winter!

Railess all the way! The sound of scraping metal is a killer.
