I just bought my mazda3 from a dealership and they offered me parts at discounted price. COLD AIR INTAKE Part No. GRMS-8M-L30 for $268(original price list at $335), Muffler 2.0L Part No. GRMS-8M-L01 for $452(original price list at $565) for a total of $779.40(tax included)
do u guys think this is a good deal? or should I just get some other aftermarket parts? what else should I add to my car -.-;?

o the price listed is only for the parts if you want it installed it will be $70 per hour labor
they told me it takes them around 1 hour to install the CAI and around 2 hours to install the Muffler.
btw I heard that many ppl here like the sway bar. should I forget about the Muffler and just go for CAI and sway bar instead?
what do u guys think I should add from the MazdaSpeed accessories?

Get it all! I have most of it... just waiting on the weather to get good enough to put on the intake and exhaust. The prices are pretty good.
Sticking with MS parts is a great idea...Mainly as it will never void warranty of the car... I for one opted for the MAP (the big one) as peace of mind is worth 1500 to me for 6 years..... With all MS parts (especially ones mounted under the hood) You never have to worry about them voiding your warranty as not on is the product great quality... or that it is specifically made for YOUR car..... but as mentioned above, how can they refuse warranty work when they see MAZDASPEED stamped on the parts! Go for it all I say!

Be sure to insist you get to keep the stock parts as well, just in case you decide you want to go back to stock.

I have a buddy that works at Mazda Canada.
We had a discussion about warranty work on the car. I told him I would be heading in the direction of installing only Mazdaspeed parts because the warranty would be intact.
He then told me that it might not necessarily be true. Depending on what is actually wrong with the car, Mazda can still technically refuse warranty work.
It was around 3am in the morning when we had this discussion so I can't be quite sure as the exact details of our conversation since I had a 10 hour shift before that.
Can anyone clarify this???
^ well.. considering the MazdaSpeed parts would have their own warranty.. I'm not sure how they could argue that their own parts would cause something else to go wrong with the car
but who knows... you're best to ask your dealer specifically

those are good prices...however their labour quote is high...
from what i saw when a shop was working on my car and what i've read on the board
the CAI should only take 40mins - 1hr max...
the exhaust should only take 45 mins - 1 hr max...
