I searched but couldn't find an answer here.

My girlfriend has a 2005 Mazda 3 (BKEP) with the 2.0L Auto Tranny (Sportmatic or whatever you call it). I need to find out what the Tranny Fluid Capacity is so that I can pick up some ELFMATIC G3 100% synthetic tranny fluid.

Just need to know how much I need to pickup.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Doesn't your manual say? Below info is what I got. But how are you planning on changing the ATF? Do you have a machine to do this? You will not drain 100% of fluid by just letting it drain out.

AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE
Automatic transaxle type: FN4A-EL
ATF Type: ATF M-V
Capacity (Approx. quantity) for Z6 engine: 7.0L / 7.4US qt / 6.2 lmp qt
Capacity (Approx. quantity) for LF engine: 7.2L / 7.6US qt / 6.3lmp qt

My manual would say, but i'm not with the Car and I want to pick up the fluid tonight before I get home so that I can do the change.

Thanks for the quick reply!

from this how-to flush ATF on a 2.3L (http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=66369.msg1138420#msg1138420), the guy went with 8-9 quarts to be safe.
