Hi,

I thought to get some feedback on a GI for car detailing...for people (like me) who don't have all the proper equipement to do a proper car wash, polish and waxing.

thanks

Depending on price/location i would be in . Have you checked out any places and asked for a group rate ?

I'm going to have Justin detail my car again this year. He did it last year, for a great price, and even better service.
Your choice, personally, if the service and price are good, I like to keep my business in forum.

There are some places like GTA In Detail (http://gtaindetail.com/) or Dans Detailing (http://www.dansdetailing.com/) but I would prefer to have more feedback on these ones or other ones.

and asked for a group rate ? not yet, not sure how this could work.

Really, I started this thread to have some advice if it's do-able...

but for sure I will have my car done.

If Justin is ok to do it for new member...I would of course prefer a TM3 forum member (even better, an administrator) to do it...I'll be happy to help also. Should I pm him?

thanks

04-19-2007, 04:34 PM
I'm not sure of his rates, but I'll get him to post up something later today.
For me, he pre-washed, then clayed my car, then washed again, then did the 3 step wax, and then buffed. Interior, he shampood the carpets, cleaned and treated the leather.
You can see some pictures in this thread:http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=13929&highlight=justin+detailing

I'll see if I can get those swirls out... waxing might not do the trick, we'd have to hit the paint with a special solution for that... it takes a bit longer to do (+30 minutes) and costs a bit more... we can talk about that after we've done the 3 step wax.

I replied to your PM as well with available appointment times.

Edit: I just looked through my box of toys... jesus... I need to restock!!! HA HA HA!!!!

i dont know much about detailing, does this wax/polish takes off the angelhair, and light scratches? or a failed compound results? (got a light scratch on the trunk and tried to compound it myself with a friend's aid, but apparantly i didnt do a good job so eventhough the light scratch was gone, but left with a spread area of noticeble result of different color compared to the original paint... hope i explained well enough)
does this wax thing egal to compound? ( when i did compound i had a light sand paper to takeoff the scratch and the round machine to wax the compounded area with some sort of solutions.. i was just followed the instructions of my friend)

www.autodetailking.com

never heard of or worked with auto detail king. However, if you read their services description, it appears to be taken directly from Autobahn's site. Except they changed the was name from "worlds best wax" to "the greates wax on earth"

I would recommend www.eshine.ca

They are local (Port Colborne) and shipping is fast. They are pricey though.

I bought my Klasse twins from www.lastingshine.ca, i believe he is a distributer for eshine. He is located in toronto so no shipping necessary, might be a little more expensive but you dont have to wait/pay for shipping.
