View Full Version : subwoofer in a 2007 sport gt
is it possible to just put a small subwoofer in the car, obviously hooked up to the stock hu, what would be invloved, im looking for something sorta like one of those smaller logitech pc speaker kinda sounding subwoofers, nothing too loud, just a bit improvement, although i am getting the car in a few weeks so well see how it sounds, i don't want to spend much, really as least as possible for good sound, is an amp required, and how much you guys think it will cost total with install?

you'll need a LOC (Line Out Converter) to give low level inputs to an amp. Then you can run the sub off the amp. Remote power can run from the headunit.
cool thanks it sounds like quite a bit, i think ill keep it stock

There is a Bazooka powered sub from Futureshop for $150 that takes speaker level input.
No adapter or crossover required.
It has a level control on it to trim the volume to match your taste.
You need to wire power and speakers to it.
Easy!
I just tried one and they work quite well.
