The girlfriend and I are going ... its weird how they have to gather a 50$ donation before they let you climb , o wells, its for a good cause.
I guess this way they keep all the ppl that want to do it for fun out.

I'm sponsoring a couple of friends already for this.
Personally I think the $50 fee is high, but oh well.

here's a quick rundown of what happened.. FYI
Last Thursday I was faced with a challenge of climbing 1776 steps or 144 flights of stairs to the top of the CN Tower. This was my first attempt. It was fun but it was exhausting. The first 30-40 flights were fairly easy as I think the only thing pumping through my veins was adrenaline. I was able to skip every other step and kept a good pace. But by the end of the 30 flights my legs gave out a little and it was back to steady pace of step-by-step. At the 65th flight, they told us we were half way through. THEY LIED! After about 120 flights, it took forever to get to the next level. In fact it felt like I was going backwards. At one point I just had to ask a stranger for some water because I didn’t bring any with me. When I got my time card punched at the top I was told I had 8-10 more flights to go to the observation deck. Those were the TOUGHEST flights EVER. Once I got to the FINAL destination, all I wanted was a bottle of water and some air. We went outside and saw Toronto at night. We then took the elevators down and waited for others to finish. For those interested, I climbed the tower in 15 minutes 48 seconds. The best time in our group was 12:49

One of the girls at work did it yesterday. Her time was an unflattering 42 min, but at least she had the guts to try it.
Next year, I'll have to try it as well.
