I don't see any reason to ban the guy. I mean, we've sort of brought it upon ourselves to some extent. Now that we know it's going to happen, we should consider ways of preventing it.

On a much busier forum, some idiot putting 50 pointless posts up might not even get noticed. As a new person, they wouldn't know how busy the forums are and how annoying that was going to be.

Does the software allow for people to have a 5 post/day limit in threads they didn't start or some such thing for the first two weeks?

That way, if someone had some issue they wanted to discuss, they could do so easily, but they couldn't go through and spam the forums.

Should send this to vB as a feature request. :chuckle

sure we made the 50 posts rule but we also have the post wh0ring rule from the above post (anyone who posts more often than 3gfx/broli is a post wh0re) :chuckle .. he SHOULD have been warned or temp banned.. to rehash the whole point of 50 posts is to get the forum familiar with the newbie and the newbie acquainted with people here - mainly for reasons of selling his/her stuff.. if you have a better idea, like one weasel suggested, by all means make a recommendation..

there's nothing worse than (non-constructive critics) whiners and complainers who don't make suggestions to improve tm3 and the forum

Update: Wild Weasel is increasing his postings per day but not enought to catch first or second. Majic is in trouble though.

1. Broli move up .01 posts per day to 12.81 from 12.80

2. 3GFX maintaining 10.58

3. Majic at 8.22 (Sorry forgot Majic in the original post)

4. Wild Weasel up .12 posts per day to 8.03 from 7.91 but that was with a new car

MauMau - not even on the radar anymore

There could be others who post Mhore but I don't know how to compile that data easily.:gone
