from members experiences riding around in eachothers cars with different springs what are your opinions on ride quality and or stifness (not based on the quoted rates of the manufature) of ride with stock dampers.

the springs that i am looking at getting are all for a mild drop are the pro-kits, racing beats, and the tein h-tecs ones.

i will be running 225's with the drop as well

in order of stifness, 1 being stiffest and 3 being softest in your opinion
1.
2.
3.

1. canuk
2. prokit
3. rb

I'm just puttin them in this order because of their drops...
Usually the lower you go the harsher the ride...

All I can add is that the prokits are nice in the sense that the ride feels basically stock except it handles speed bumps much better. So I think they were an improvement.

actually the ms seem too similar to the pro kits for me to consider plus their more expensive.

I'm pretty sure the MS springs are made by Eibach

I've got issues with clearance and I'm doing research on the Racing Beat springs. They have only a 0.5" drop but are on of the stiffest springs. Apparently they are the same stiffness as the Pro-Kit and Mazdaspeed springs, although those kits offer a 1.2" drop.

you also get the camber links, which are normally $250

how much is the whole MS spring kit?

You should be able to get the Prokits for under $300.00, far less than the MS set usually goes for. You can also do without the camber kit since you'll still be within spec after an alignment.

Flippy can chime in, but i think it's between 5 to 6 hundred dollars for springs and camber links. I don't think you can get the springs and not the camber thiing... it's a package deal

whats your setup that your running thats giving clearence issues?

rim dia: 18"
rim width: 7.5"
offset: 45mm
tire size: 225/40/18
current springs: stock sedan GT
drop fr/rr: nadda
ride quality: like new :p

My concern is if I drop it will I rub. I know my specs look to be fine and I shouldn't have an issue, but for some odd reason my fronts have a little poke. So I'm wearly. We'll see, I think this just means I'll get an exhaust first.
