4 or more LEDs to be bright enough...
i'd recommand devin98 too, i got mine from shopping mall's car shop and regret it cuz too expensive... later on bought 3 sets from him for my friends all blue lights

are these super easy to install? i too want to upgrade my interior lights because they are so dim.

the rear hatch trun light on the right side is also extremely dim.

They are pretty easy to install. You should have no problems. The only one I had trouble with was the hatch trunk light cause I didn't do it properly at the time.

how easy is it to pry open the encasing for the dome lights and map lights?

when you guys say hatch trunk? you mean the one that's in the right side of the trunk right?
