I've just signed up for the Ride for Heart and their website allows people to sponsor me by using an online form so the money goes directly to them.

That means I can ask total strangers for sponsorship and they don't have to worry about me just pocketing the money, buying pizza, and giving myself a heart attack.

Of course, making my out of shape ass ride a bike across the Gardener and up the DVP might cause exactly that anyway, but isn't that just all part of the fun?

So if anyone is interested, please go to this link and toss a few bucks my way.

And since I've just realized that the URL looks totally non-legit like some sort of phishing scheme, you can also just go here:

http://www.rideforheart.ca/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=222611&lis=1

Click on "Sponsor a Rider" and search for Kevin Hopp.

And hey... if I can get over $100 from all of you guys put together, I'll even put a great big TM3 logo on whatever t-shirt I end up wearing or something or add the sticker to my helmet. :bana

We'll keep a tally here for that if you want.

And thanks in advance, everyone. It's a good cause. We need them to come up with a cure so they can fix Broli after he gives himself a stroke during a tug-of-war match. :chuckle

Incidentally... I just went through the online donation process myself to ensure it's all nice and easy to use, and it is.

In the end, they even provide an instant tax receipt in pdf form for you to print for your records.

I'm not sure what the minimum amount to donate is to get a tax receipt though. Maybe $10? Does anyone know the regulations on this? I donated $20.
