I want to get the angel eyes, but I am a little worried about future problems. So I pose this pole to the people who have this mod.

Have you had any problems sisnce the mod?

Who did your install?

Thanks in advance guys!

No problems at all, I did the installation myself about a year ago.

I DIY and haven't had any problems. Advice...avoid heatgun method. Oven only.

bluntman

Last year is was around $100 if I am not mistaken.

bubba1983

i thought 200? cause they charge you a standard SKU for front bumper removal, around 60-$70

The whole process is pretty painless, besides being scared your headlights are going to melt, which they don't. I can post up exactly what to do if you want. Save yourself the coin.

Please do! I bought my angel eyes so long ago, but have yet to install them. I've read through some how-to guides on M3F, but none are really thorough from beginning to end. For me, the wiring part is the scariest, as I've never done any wiring work in my car.

yea i think its 200+ call for an estimate

they are soooo sick, and i have been thinking about them forever, but of everyone i know who has had them there has been some problems . .

sure the place that installs them will probably fix it, but i can take the time to go 6 times to some place to have something installed!

but . . . they are so damned hot!!

Much appreciated Gizzmo! I'm sure I'll have more questions once I install them, do you mind if I get in touch? I'll make sure to take pics and create a how-to for the forum.

I've got some tutorials with pictures bookmarked at home. I'll take 30min sometime and put in those photos with my guide. Cause all of what I did I knew ahead of time (aside from reading 4 guides if I recall).

just so your all aware ... unless maybe lockdown doesnt like me, the increased price of the install is 350 :o , I dont think they really wanna do it anymore :P

MattC

I heard that lockdown wasn't even going to do these installs anymore.

There is alot of liability involved in this, and small things can go wrong randomly, so 350 seems like a good price... it also takes a while to complete the install, so you are looking at around 4-6 hours or more.
