Toyota Supra coming in 2009.

Woot, looks like the Supra is coming back in 2009. Here's the article:

This is going to be interesting with the Acura NSX, Nissan GTR, and Toyota Supra, all coming to market.

There's no mention of them actually using the Supra name though.

from the pics i seen in some magazines the new supra looks more like a car that a hot wheels toy

i dont like the way this looks but has anyone seen the new NSX looks like it has a bit aston martin in it

Will it effectively fill the void that was left by the old Supra? It's about time that Toyota starts to add sports cars to their lineup again.

its not the supra... they are just trying to be clever. a supra concept was released about a year ago and the project was later put on hold... this is what the actual supra concept looked like

That is a lot better looking than whatever that new car is IMHO...

At this time, there isnt a single car in the toyota lineup that even remotely interests me - I think that they are really aiming for the baby boomers who are starting to get on in years because they are probably the biggest niche in the industry :chuckle

yes thats the car i'v seen that is gonna be the future supra

i heard its ready as well as the lexus and toyota will release them when there F1 team finally wins a race but who know it will prob be 10 years b4 that happens

I don't understand why they just dont keep a similar shape as the old 97's that supra was classic... and besides the fact... it has recognition all tuners know what a supra looks like.. so I mean.. keep the basis of the shape and update it a bit :) just make it a little more futuristic. just keep the similar idea just renew it a bit I guess.... the old shape was still classic!!!

Read my post above. This new car is not a Supra... so there's no need to make it shaped like one. :)
