Truth be told I never liked where thousands of years of evolution has placed my kidneys so I think I'll take a ride on this thing and relocate one of them.

I hope no one is planning to go anytime soon just to ride Maverick. They've had some testing problems and need to change a couple pieces of track. They plan to have the ride open some time in June. Otherwise, even without Maverick, Cedar Point is awesome and is well worth the drive!

Just a note, the same parent company that owns Cedar Point, Cedar Fair, has purchased the Paramount Parks...that includes Wonderland so you can expect some changes to the park. From what I've heard they have already left there mark on the place. Plus if you have a Wonderland Maxx seasons pass (not just a regular seasons pass) you'll get admission to CP as well as the all of the other parks in the family. Gaeuga Lake is in Cleveland and shouldn't be missed if you make the drive to CP since you get admission there too!

I loved 6 flags in New Jersey!

I heard they wanted to move all the stuff out of Wonderland closer to Niagara Falls or something and then sell off the park land for housing.

Just a rumour though.

That rumor died a long time ago and was just that!

Well that's why I said it was a rumour. I just heard it but have no idea whether it held water. :)

Cedar point rocks! I went there two years ago... tried all the coaster except one (feeling a bit dizzy after Raptor, which is like TopGun but on drugs). Definitely a great place to go.. my favourite had to be Magnum, then Top Thrill Dragster, followed by Millenium Force. Can't take Wonderland coasters seriously.. too kiddy. hahah

If you go be sure to stay at a hotel close by and take advantage of the early entrance admission. You can hit the most popular ones first (they tell you which two are open) and avoid the huge lineups!

Something interesting... if it rains ... top thrill dragster can't make it over the hump. I remember waiting in line as they tried to launch the coaster. The people would get 4/5 of the way to the top and then roll back. They had to wait until the track almost completely dried out.

Isn't that where Minebuster sits? The ride seems like a bigger, modern version of that coaster.

You can see Minebuster in the background. When I went early in the year I could see them surveying the land. This looks like it will be a great addition to Wonderland. Finally a new ride!!!
