The Yellowtop isn't better. It's different. :)

gabbygenier
05-18-2007, 10:22 PM
Yes its better. go look at the specs. and the yellowtop is made for car stereos

Wild Weasel
05-18-2007, 10:24 PM
No, it's not better. Learn what the specs mean.

And it's made for running car stereos with the car turned off. It's a deep-cycle battery as opposed to the Redtop which is made for vehicle starting.

They're both of the highest quality, made for different purposes.

Noob. :chuckle

gabbygenier
05-18-2007, 10:26 PM
And thats y i want to add in in the trunk of the car, i said i have a redtop under the hood already. hence y i say its better. its better for the aplication i need it for.

Wild Weasel
05-18-2007, 10:32 PM
That's not what you said. :chuckle

I'm not disagreeing that it's the one to get if you're getting a second battery specifically to run your stereo when the car is off. That's the one.

You just said you wanted it because it's better.

It's ok... you'll learn to express yourself here in time. :chuckle

well good for u. so can u answer my first question of the post now??

Wild Weasel
05-18-2007, 11:27 PM
heh. No. Can't help you there. :chuckle

Only place I can think of that stocks them is Performance Improvements and they're just about the last place I'd go looking for good prices.

If you're not in a hurry, I'm sure one of the site sponsors here might chime in and say they carry them. Might not be until next week though, with the long weekend and all.

Since there are different sizes and they don't have one listed for the 3. Which yellowtop are you refering to?

Gabbygenier was thinking about putting the yellowtop in his trunk, so i don't think it really matters which one he gets.

Yes I did, you basically harassed him for saying yellow is better than red and went into a drawn out explanation on the differences between yellow and red that he already knows and implied since he said he wanted it for the stereo in the trunk. Own3d. :)

Right. And I knew all that. And I knew it was better for what he was using it for, but that's not what he said. He simply said it was better. That's what I was picking on him for (and in jest, I might add, less I really piss off the new guy, which isn't my intention).

It's not as fun when you have to explain it... :chuckle

And hell... if you call Costco and they've got them, the new one in Markham isn't too far from me and I happen to have a membership so if you need someone to go with... just let me know. :)

YOU got a membership at Costco? I'm shocked! Heh...

BTW, you can take me there to buy a freezer I need. :)

Wild Weasel
05-20-2007, 02:51 PM
I get a membership every couple years or so. Then, when it's about to expire, I'll stock up on the stuff they're good for like toilet paper and soap and stuff. Then I don't get a membership again until I run out of all that stuff, which can be a year or more later. :chuckle

If I always had a membership, I'd spend WAY too much money there. :( I've never managed to come out with only the stuff I went in for.

They probably do, but I wouldn't recommend getting one, unless you want to get a few hundred dollars worth of tickets when you caught with it.

You would have to save on your purchases the $50 plus membership you have to pay to make it worth wild...Some items are not cheaper as they can be the same as other stores...spend $500 and hope the items are 10% lower in price compared to other stores, JMO...

I'm refering to the Yellow top Deep Cycle which could possibly fit in our vehicles (there are only 3 sizes). The site does not have the 3 in its listing so that is the problem.
I asked the question because I would like to get a yellow top deep cycle for my 3, I was not refering to Gabby's situation.

It would be nice to know if Gabby's red top fit without alterations and what size it was!

No legit store in Ontario sells radar detectors. You were probably looking at their US website.

There's one up Markham Rd. now, north of Steeles.

Radar detectors are legal in other provinces... Costco.ca will only ship radar detectors to those provinces:

Delivery available to British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan addresses only. (http://www.costco.ca/en-CA/Common/Category.aspx?cat=22299&eCat=BCCA|20483|22299&whse=BCCA&topnav=)
