Okay, I've been ignoring the reset connections the past few days but today is horrid. Just asking, is anyone else having the same problems as I am?

our host is having problems as part of their network is down. This is forcing service to the fail over servers. Should be resolved later today.

SSSSSSSSSSSLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW. Only took about 5 minutes to get this far. No probs the other days. Good to know it will be corrected shortly.

Originally I thought maybe the slow down was for one of these reasons:

1. WW's sig moved back to normal size and was causing a drag and everything had slow down as everythread on the board had make the change (atleast once):chuckle;
2. new Speed3 dedicated thread caused a vacuum as all of the big time posters moved to that thread:);
3. someone removed a turbo sticker from the server.:whoa

Reminds me of back in the day of the 486's when computers had a turbo button on them... :chuckle

Just last weekend I was throwing out some of my old PCs (386, P1) and laughed when I saw the Turbo button. What a strange feature. Why the heck would I not want that on?

Back then, many applications were never designed for a computer that was so blazing fast. Thus, if you ran a game or something made for a slower computer, it could run so fast that it was virtually unusable. Then you'd use the turbo button to slow it down. :)

Basically, it was the equivilant of killing the internal speed doubler.

Underclocking.

Hmm... kids these days will never know of the fabled turbo button. Poor bastards. :chuckle
