Hey all,

I'm picking up an Grey 06' Mazda 3 GT / GFX on Saturday, cant wait. Injen CAI installed on the vehicle. Dealer states that it was installed by them, is this possible? Is it an option with Mazda to purchase aftermarket parts and have them install them? Will it be covered by their warranty?

Welcome again... I've never heard of a dealer installing a CAI before a sale unless it was the Mazdaspeed CAI. I suggest you ask them about your warranty, just incase you run into problems with the CAI.

I really don't see why not. I mean... they're mechanics and installing an intake is simple. If you pay them, why wouldn't they do it?

i have a feeling M3 is buying a used car (hence '06) with the intake already installed (by previous owner probably).. if they sell it to you with it, it would be ridiculous that they would deny warranty work... so just make sure it's mentioned somewhere that it came with the intake 'stock' ;)

Yes it is a used car, it has 25k on it. Thanks for the tip, I will get them to mention the CAI somewhere on the purchase agreement.
