My First Car "Mazda 3"

Hi Everyone,

Im new here and i been reading this forum since i went to mazda to check on the 3.

I really want the 3 since i last year im telling my self that i'll be getting 3 soon.

I went there last May 19, 2007 at mazda dixie and 401. while talking to the manager and agreed with the price, I sign up the form and apply for financing. I took the 60/84 with 5 years warranty and rust proof.
So we wait for the approval. Then Tuesday afternoon the manager called me and said that it was approved and they will call me if it’s ready. :bana2:bana

It’s been few days now and still waiting for the call, I really excited to see my FIRST CAR! :chuckle

I already plan some simple mods in my car, but I think I wait after 2-3months to save some money and enjoy the stock hehehe

Well I’ll just let you guys know when I got my 3 and post some pix.

I ordered the Mazda 3 GT Carbon Grey Mica.

Usually how long before you can get you car?

congrats on your first car, man.

i didn't have to wait long for mine; 3-4 days. how long you wait depends a bit on the dealer's workload, and what need to be done, and whether they have the car in the storage lot, or on the dealer lot. if they have to ship in a car from overseas, it could be a couple of weeks.

That's that thing i already went to the dealer when i saw the post of the guys here that jeff is the man if you wanna buy 3 heheheh :chuckle

anyway i hope i got a good deal. =)

also im still looking for a good insurance company.
Im a new driver here and they quote me around $330+
any tips where can i get lower rates?

I has nothing to do with workload. I can sell, license, and deliver a car within a few hours if need be.

If the dealer is a high volume dealer and the car exists, you will get your car very quick. Any car I don't physically have in stock I can get within a couple of weeks generally.

Welcome and congrats on the new car! Not too shabby for a first car. For a new driver, you can expect your rates to be fairly high at first, but if you keep your record clean they will go down over the next few years.

i got some quote from insurance company and they gave me around 330. i think that normal for a new driver and a brand new car.

Then i talked to a guy that can find as low as 270 but you need to pay him $450 for the service charge which is cRazy!!! hehehe

I think I'll just stick on the $330 and be a good boy. hehehe

Congrats on your 1st car! I ordered my 1st car (Mazda 3 GS automatic) too on May 19th. I've been driving my mom's car for the last 7 or so years to save $ and am so happy I finally get to say goodbye to the ol' Ford Escort. FYI, I have to wait 6 weeks! I'm hoping it comes the end of June. I think the long wait is because I picked Galaxy grey.

My car took like 4 weeks, and I was still driving around my trade in car.

you know how stressful normal driving becomes when the car you're in actually has a set price associated with it, and it is instrumental in getting your new ride? :rant

Don't even rush that much to mod it, you might find you like the stock ride.
But torontomazda3.ca decals, and coming to meets are a must :)

after those hard stuff to find low auto insurance finally i have it.
Funny thing is you always find it in the last minute that you don't have anymore choice. hahaha

First i dunno if it's only a style of insurance company that they will change the price when you are going to get it. It happen to me 2 times, first with TD first i called them and they gave me a quote of $330+. but on the day I'm going to get the policy they told me that they quote a different car, the price is for CX-7 and the price of the 3 is $445!!! i told the agent that i want to talked to her manager or team lead, but she said that it will be the same price because it's a different car.
So i went for my second choice, State Farm. They have the same price $330.
I went to the office of the agent and bring all the stuff, but while processing the papers the agent said that i need to get a life or home insurance first so she can give me the auto!!! and it's already 3pm and i going to pickup my car around 7pm that day. I'm so worried that i cannot get my baby that day.

It's a good thing i called my parents insurance company and they gave me a quote. It's $392! much higher but I'm already sure of the company.
and the agent said that if my parent renew their policy he will give me discount. so it will be $352. this will start on july.
I got my policy around 6:30pm after printing it i ran on Mazda Ontario in Dixie!

then we arrived at Mazda and the sales guy is already waiting for me. so we fill up the paper works and check the car. We have some conflict in my policy, the address is different, but i told the guy that i need to get my car i cannot sleep if i wont get it. :)'
So the guy agreed and i will give him a new copy tomorrow.

It's a long day for us but finally we got our first car!!!

my first year insurance was also $400 (was supposed to be $300, but they were slow at processing, so i had to pay for a month backpricing re-worked into the first year)
but give it time...3 years later, im at a comfy $174

The 3 was also my first car which I purchased Apr '06. Even though it's used, I too remember that giddy feeling I felt when I signed the papers and then the realization that I'm going to have to wait a week before I could pick it up (they were installing a spoiler and tints). I'm really glad I waited all this time before buying my first car rather than chincing out and getting a used Civic or something.

If you are talking about Mark I am sure he gave you an excellent deal
I bought my car almost 3 years ago from him and the sale was done in 5 minutes (literally)
