After conducting some searches here, it seems like there's only been horror stories coming out of Ajax Mazda. Basically, I'm just looking to get an oil change there and if not for the fact that this dealership is minutes from where I work, I'd probably go somewhere else.
Anyone have any positive experiences with their service center lately?

I have more bad stories than you'd care to hear about LOL.... Hack jobs, and they dont know much about service. I would try Whitby Mazda before going back.

I live in Brooklin (Grew up in Ajax).

FTR - Whitby Mazda (service) is average, they could learn a thing or 2 from other dealerships. Hopefully when they move to the new place they upgrade the "customer service" a little.

In the over 11 years that I've been buying cars, I have to say, that by far, the VERY WORST experience I have EVER had is with Ajax Mazda. From beginning to end, they treated me like crap. Unreturned phone calls, lies re: delivery and accessories and prices, overcharging for everything, adding things that I didn't request (VIN etching), rude salespeople, incompetent F&I folks (apparently fired since then), etc. I cannot say enough BAD things about this dealership.

I bought an '06 Miata from them in Feb. 06. I live downtown Toronto, so getting to Ajax is about 40 mins, depending on time of day. The day I was to pick up the car, I had to work until 6 and I informed the dealership of that...meaning I wouldn't get there until about 7 at the earliest. At 6:15, I was getting calls on my cell phone from the "salesperson" (what a joke!) asking where I was, because he had an appointment elsewhere. I advised I was on the DVP. 15 minutes later, another call. ...and another. I finally arrived at around 7:15 (traffic was bad). It was a bitter cold and very dark winter evening. After signing my paperwork and paying the balance, we went outside to the car. The guy didn't have the slightest ounce of knowledge about this car, and I question whether he knows anything about any car. I asked him to show me how to put the top down (I fully well knew how to do it). He didn't know you had to put the windows down first. I asked him to show me some of the controls, he told me, and I quote: "You'll have to read the manuals at home".

To piss me off further, his cell phone kept ringing while I was in the car. It was his wife asking him when he was coming home. He asked me if he could leave!!!! CAN YOU IMAGINE?????????????

I have NEVER NEVER NEVER been treated like this. When I received my satisfaction survey from Mazda, and then from JD Powers & Associates, I rated them the LOWEST possible (all 1, which is the worst you can give). I never had a call from the dealership asking if all was ok.

AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS. THEY ARE A HUGE RIP-OFF AND COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT YOU AS A CUSTOMER. I have reported them as well to other regulatory agencies in the automobile industry.

wow... im really sorry that you went through that. Its so disgusting. Sums up why my job is so hard, when i try to be so good at it! :)

Obviously you have found better since then I hope? After reading through here it is really nice to know where to avoid sending my out of town clients for service!! (toronto clients are all coming to MoT of course :) )
