Picking her up this Thursday!

2007 Mazda 3 GT Sedan with luxury package in True Red.

My current car is a 2005 Mazda 3 GT Sedan. I'm trading it in because I put on like 80,000km on it in 2 years and I hadn't really done much modding to it.

Now I got some extra cash on me for upgrades so I opted to get an '07 model.

I've already pre-modded; I got some stuff so I will get cracking as soon as I get the car:

Pre-mods:

KONI FSD struts
Eibach Pro-Kit
Eibach Rear Camber Kit
VG Sharkin Antenna
RX-8 Wheels with Nexen N3000 tires
Pedal Set from http://www.xenonexpert.com/mazda_pedals.html
Clear bra+tints (20%) courtesy of FX Auto

Mods coming within the month:

Fujita F5 CAI

Future Mods:

Powder Coat RX-8 Wheels hypersilver (similar to BMW M3 alloys)
TWM Shortshifter
I'll think of more stuff..

Here are the pictures as promised! The red is really nice! I thought I would be disappointed because its non-metallic unlike the Velocity Red, but this red is incredible. It's just as bright in real life as it is in these pics.

Stock!! Getting tints and bra on tomorrow:

If it was Blue, I might take offence to this... :)

Actually you will love those tires... They are awesome on wet pavement as well.

Thanks!

Ya the tires seemed like the best bang for your buck. My other 2 options were the Toyo T1-R and the Maxxis MA-Z1 Victra. The Toyo's are WAY out of my price range but the Maxxis was pretty good. I got a quote for about $170/tire at a place in Newmarket. I've read only good things about that specific model.

The Nexen tires are apparently the same as the Lexani tires..i didn't know that until I saw that both companies had the same model "N3000".

Also, on the Lexani N3000..you can see the word "NEXEN" in small letters on the sidewall.

I paid $125 each at Extreme Wheel and Tire in Richmond Hill

I know him, but I still think he may be able to beat your $170 mark.

Mike @ Extreme Wheel (905) 770-2302 Make sure you mention 'Jeff Holley'..

Well, the luxury package includes factory installed HID's, so won't have to worry about that as a mod..maybe just different bulbs if they don't suit my needs.

Sorry, I was referring to the Maxxis tires at $170/tire. The Nexen's I got for about $125 as well from a place in Newmarket called Newmarket Tire n' Mag.

Hehe thanks..well, I've been driving my '05 MZ3 for a little over 2 years so I've been researching and seeing what's out there. I've been very happy with my car and I knew that I would end up getting another Mazda 3, so I already knew what to get.

thanks

Will do! Ya I'm just on the phone right now with FX Auto..setting up a time for tints+bra for Friday morning.

Does everyone think it's a good idea to get the bra on? I'm just worried about the maintaining of it..like waxing over it and stuff like that.

Get the bra, I have at least 5 big chips on my hood that the bra would have eliminated.

Well... it will save you from getting chips but to be honest, I generally don't like how they look around the seams and stuff.

Ya..I know all about those damn hood chips. I used to drive 140km a day to work/back on gravel backroads with my '05 and I got some insane chips on my hood, bumper, fenders, etc.

Haha..thanks..most of that stuff is sitting on the in my garage right now just anxiously waiting to get installed.

What's nice about getting another MZ3 is that you know exactly how the car is, how it drives and what to mod.

Hmm..well..I'll see. For now I'm playing the stock game..I'm going to see how the rx8 rims handle, look and feel. IMO they are one of the best rims for the sedan. I am planning on getting them powdercoated in the future.

By the way I got the car tinted+bra put on today by FX Auto. Will post pictures as soon as this crappy ass weather goes away.

Looks good without the moldings... time to make a thread in the "member rides" area...

Gotta say, after the first mod... you are no longer a 'new user'.
