Nice tints...but I agree w/Bubba - I wouldn't let anyone on my car.
Like that Aveo commercial, where the girl climbs over the hood to get in thru the sunroof, to me it shows how little they like their car - cause I'd be mad!:complain

Wild Weasel

Yeah, I find that commercial retarded. As soon as she put the first leg up on the car, I'd have freaked.

Hell, I'd probably put it in reverse and pull out from under her. heh. Stupid girl.

I'll never forget seeing a car where Tint King had put their logo on the window, permanently under the tint.

That, along with their uber-garbage show cars made me swear to never deal with them for anything... ever.

Glad to hear you had a good experience though! The car looks good.

The owner there owns a mazda3 hatch. He says he does the tints for westown mazda.

their uber-garbage show cars

Did you ever see the neon with 2 aluminum spoilers? One on the trunk and one on the roof? Worst car I have ever seen.

Did you ever see the neon with 2 aluminum spoilers? One on the trunk and one on the roof? Worst car I have ever seen.

That was one of them. The other was an absolutely craptacular DelSol with a glittery (and filled with swirl marks) paintjob and all sorts of stupid stickers on it.

Without knowing I laughed in the Noen's owners face when I saw it, my friend and I were making fun of it right in front of him. Did the DelSol look like a speedboat paint job?

Tints look good! I'm thinking of getting some tints soon too. Length of warranty? Any bubbles or other problems? The front looks a little dark for me. Afraid of the popo pulling me over, but it does look nicely having it all around.

dr1ft3r
06-08-2007, 10:12 AM
lifetime warranty. No probs so far. The guy did say the front are just over the legal limit and if i saw popos just roll my front windows down.

06-08-2007, 10:18 AM
Yea...I don't want to take any risk with that. Rather go lighter than risk it. Were there different types of tints you could get, or just one type?

dr1ft3r
06-08-2007, 10:21 AM
35 the lightest
20 the ones i got
15 limo privacy

225 for any combination i think

Yep, that's the one. :) And if I'm not mistaken... I don't think the wing on the roof of the Neon was actually attached. I think it was held by velcro or something. Totally ghetto.

bah u went to tint king!!!??

*** that place should of ask for a review first. I went there last year to get my car tinted. He said pay $200 in cash so he wont take taxes from me. So I did. i go and choose 30% Front, 20% Back. 2.5hrs later the car was done. It looked good.

1 week later the tints starts to bubble on the back window. I take aclose look at it and it nots cut by a computer. The ***in guy hacked at it. U can tell he took a pair of scissors and kind of said *** it. I go back and tell the *******. But when i get there i forgot i had no receipt cause i opted to not pay taxes. He said he was gonna charge me another 50bucks to fix it. so in the end we got in a arguement and i didnt come out on top. i left with the crappy job he did and the bubbles are still on my window till this day.

Lesson learn. Never believe someone when they are trying to say their are helping you. If its too good to be true. then its not.

That all depends on the place though, like some people won't be dicks and stand behind their work AND work for cash.

When you went back did the guy just pretend to not remember who you were?

I'm not saying that all TINT KINGS are the same, but the one I went to in Mississauga off of Wolfedale left a bad impression with me, thus leaving a bad impression of the name TINT KING.

I had my 94 Cavalier, 91 Accord, and my '92 Civic all done at this location... and not once did he offer any kind of savings. I brought it to his attention that I've been there before (and had the receipts to prve it) for other purchases and installations, but that was all disregarded.

The tint on all of the cars bubbled after a week or so, but to there (somewhat) credit, they did try to have them removed.

One thing that killed me the most about this place is that it took almost 1 month to order a windshield decal, that I later found out they got from Sign Factory Plus, which was 2 blocks away. They said that their supplier kept messing up the order. I later found out that the order never got to S.F.P. until a couple of weeks later.

Seymour and Val at that particular TINT KING offered the worst customer service from any aftermarket/ performance shop I've ever been to........

My 2 cents,

Pogi

oh he remembered me alright. but he was acting like it was my fault cuz it should not bubble at the bottom of the window like that. then he goes on saying hes been in the busy for 20yrs and has never seen anything like that. BULLSHIT. Still pissed till this day. but oh well u move on.

6days later, tints are cured...checked all around and found one tiny air bubble as seen in the pic. I just found it literally the same time the pic was taken. Its not too noticable and i am happy with the overall result...so tint king gets a thumbs up from me...queensway location that is.

That's too bad you had that experience James N. It is now making me think twice about going to Tint King Etobicoke.

Does anyone know of a good Tinting company in Scarborough? One that would not forget who you are if you pay cash? Also one where they won't sit on my car?!?

Ive dealt with Tint King here in Barrie for a few years now, and Dave is an awesome guy. Always pay cash and hes always done great work. The tint on my old truck started peeling and he redid it no questions asked and apologized many times for the inconvenience. I just got the M3 done last week by him 15% all the way around and it looks great.
