found a strange spider in my appartment tonight. normally a spider her and there doesnt bother me because they really dont do any harm and kill other pests. allthough tonight i saw a spider in my bathroom that i havent seen before.
unpon inspection in the wadded up tp this thing had huge jaws. these jaws were comparable to the pincers on an earwig but more round shaped. when antagonized i could get it to punch down on me pretty easially. by the feeling of it its jaws had some pretty good pressure to them. i dod not let it fully bite me though so i cant say if its able to pierce tough finger sking or it its venomous in any way.

"This appears to be another example (see #s 288 and 388 ) of the woodlouse spider (Dysdera crocata) that specializes in feeding on isopods (sowbugs/pillbugs/woodlice). Their powerful jaws easily penetrate the tough exoskeletons of their crustacean prey. They are harmless to humans. "
has anyone here been seeing these recently. im assuming that if i havent seen these before ever that there must be a huge population outburst of them this year.
