Couldn't think of a better place to post this so here it goes..Please move it if it should be somewhere else.
When I ran my power wire for my amp, I pulled out the white plastic piece that was covering the clutch pedal hole in the firewall and drilled a hole in it, however now when I am trying to push the plastic cover back in, it does not want to.
Anyone have any advice or tips on how to get this pest back in?
Thanks,
Jerremy

I left mine in and just drilled through it. No need to take it out. I'm sure it just needs a little extra force to put it back in.

errr, i did that too..... you're talking about the hole where the hood release runs through right??, i didn't have to drill anything, though i'm running several wires thru there so i can't put the little black rubber boot back in but w/e. i just pulled the rubber boot away from the hole and stuffed my wires through, what are you drilling?

With the auto trans, there is a plastic clutch hole filler cap to the right of the hood release cable. That, is what I drilled through. Cheaper and easier to replace than anything else.

thats where i put mine too. enough space there to get a drill under. a 3/8" hole makes a nice snug fit for 4awg wire.

thats the spot, however I couldn't fit my drill up and under so I pulled the white piece right out and then made a whole in it, however I cannot get this sucker back in...

Yeah...any drill should be able to fit down there no problem. I used my fathers drill and it's a fairly large corded drill. Like Matt said, just drill on a bit of an angle.

hey man, i just went thru the same process... but decided it to run it through the glove box instead.
how i got mine back on was i slid it through sideways into the engine compartment and lined it up roughly with my fingers... then took needle nose pliers and pulled on the sides closest to the tabs till it was in there tight. be careful pulling cause u can lose ur grip and slice ur hand on the components under the steering wheel
