It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now I have the slightly
daunting task of wiring the blue LED's for the Mazda3 Emblems in the aluminum door sills I bought for my GT Hatchback. Just wondering if there was any advice to be had for where and how to run the wires and what to hook them up to. Dome light (in fuse box ? elsewhere ?)

I'm also going to be doing some underdash and underseat led chains. I was thinking I would wire it to the ignition power wire for the radio, the one where it allows power to the radio after a turn or two of the key to the on position.

Sorry if this thread has already been discussed. If I can pull it off, I'll certainly post the experience.

Thanks,

its been done a bunch.

I did mine, took about an hour. wired the sils up to the dome light.

use the search function on this forum to look for the link to the how-to guide.

As far as the led chains, I have read of people hooking them up to the cig lighter...

If i did them I would buy a toggle switch, and hook it through that, that way i could turn em on and off whenever i wanted.

hmmm....
i want to buy a 4 foot LED strip from CADautoworks, and put it in my trunk.
would i be able to wire it into the stock trunk light? or would that be too little power for that many LED's???

p.s. sorry bout the thread jack, but its kinda on topic....
