I have Prolumens (6000k) from Devin
Few nights ago the passenger side HID went out while driving on the highway; turned them off and back on and it stayed on for another 20 mins or so.
It works randomly now
I checked all the connections nothing seems to be loose
I turned on the HIDs and noticed that the ignitor is making a buzzing sound but the driver side isnt (the side that works with no problems)
Any feedback?

yeah that buzzing is considered to be normal... its just the current inside the ignitor... you might want to check the bulb itself.. I had a problem with my ignited kit after I took it apart to put the rubber housings back on, the passenger light wouldn't go back on. Un plug and re-plug everything on that side of the car from the ignitor. and fiddle with the backing of the bulb, it could just be a loose connection.. or the ignitor could be on the way out.... depends on how long you've had the HID's sometimes they do burn out.

the whole random working thing sounds like a bulb issue to me. Like it's working when it's cool and then turns off when it get to hot.

ballast going to die soon? Or loose ground.
Both of the cases happened to me just last week. BTW.....the buzzing is normal, it'll go away in a few mins.

Hmmmmmmm.. I have no idea especially when it comes to HIDs
I'll shoot Devin an email and go from there :(
bulb.. had the same problem before..
i was told the ballast is rarely the soure of the issue...

the other thing it could be.. is a bad ground.... sometimes if the light isn't positioned properly... as the bulb and the housing with that stupid little clip act as a ground.. you may just need to fiddle with it.. would explain the off/on again cycle... hit a bump it goes off... hit a bump again and goes back on... just thought about it now as I had that problem with my civic might want to check that out... before paying to get it looked at

I have been playing with my HID's a lot lately. If they make a buzzing sound it should be a ballast problem cause when I was playing with my wiring and accidententally tapped into the stock headlight wire and turned HID's on. It makes this horrible buzzing sound.

MK, did you switch bulbs to see if it is indeed the ballasts? How are they wired? If you arm or disarm your alarm does the hid's flicker? thanks to AudioHeaven, and a couple of other members, they warned me about burning the ballasts that way.

Im the last peron to touch any type of wiring because
a) I have no idea what I'm doing
and
b) I dont wanna **** anything up
I've never noticed my HIDs flickering when arming the alarm
I had them installed at Lockdown

Find a reputable seller and a quality product and you should be ok
I cant live without my HID's :bana
