My friend took his car to cartech after he got T-boned:
He went through insurance and got a rental. Took roughly 20 days to fix (<-- editted, used to say a month but my friend told me had to wait for insurance appraisal).
After seeing the car, I'd say car tech did a real good job. The gaps are the way it is suppose to be.
Car Tech also got a rental for my friend at around 8-9pm (the rental car is from a rental company called Noble Car and Truck Rental).

Accident (Sorry about the cell pics):

You can see that CarTech was able to maintan the stock fender/bumper gap after fixing.

I agree. Looks really good. A month just seems like a lot of time...

the parts took a while to get in, since he needed a new door, all the door parts and the other parts needed are all OEM.

Shop did nice work! I think a month is too long to be without a car.

My friend the rental on the day of the accident.
He got it within 30 minutes of arriving at the shop, (8pm-ish).

editted post #1 in this thread.
My friend corrected me in that it took around 30 days from the accident to get his car back. It took around twenty days to fix because CarTech had to wait for the insurance appraisal and/or parts. (my friend wasn't too clear on that part)

insurance is the main reason why jobs like this take so long, usually takes around a week or so alone just for the insurance to set-up the paper work, and send an appraiser to the repair facility to view the vehicle, and then another couple of days for the appraiser to send the estimate over to the shop before they can order parts in. Parts wil arrive 2-3 days after the order has been placed (if lucky, and nothing is on back order).
So that alone, is a week or two before repairs can actually start.

For insurance jobs, best option would be to go to insurance Direct repair shops that your insurance company will recommend to you. The shops are authorized to review and start the repairs without having an appraiser come by first (which saves a couple days time).

do you have any of these pictures still? I'm looking for a shop in the GTA to pa int a bumper, spoiler, and hopefully do some rust repair while the bumper is off.

It's my friends shop. So I have been going there for Body related issues and HID issues.
There were amazing for a long time. They do warranty their body work.

However, I went to them for HID issues, and I was charged for a bulb replacement. Within a few months (less than 6), the same bulb blew and I was charged for another bulb. I was pissed since I thought it should be under some sort of warranty (Devin gave me a new bulb when my first one blew in 3 years. None the less, I went back for a minor accident.

My bumper fitment was not as good as I thought since its OEM, but I never went back. He did a good job on paint. If you take a look at the last picture. My end of my bumper, where it closest to the wheel & forms a triangle, it comes out slightly on my car. (It is perfect on my friends car)

My friend went there to install/pain a new bumper. The paint was well done (Saw this first hand), the fitment was decent on the outside but the wheel well covers did not fit at all. While my friend and I understand that fiberglass fitment is never 100%, we both think he could of done a better job for what my friend paid.

Bluemazda3-S, if you are looking to get things painted, Car Tech should still be top notch. If you are going to get your bumper installed there, let Eddie exam your kit before install.

Hmmm.. that looks pretty good. The bumper I have is an OEM Mazdaspeed 3 bumper, so it should have no fitment issues. The spoiler she got is a mazdaspeed 3 replica molded from an original spoiler, it looks correct. If they are around tomorrow, maybe I'll take it in and get an estimate

Eddie is the Man! ... he has done alot of work on my car, from body kits to fixing rust and has always done a fantastic job at a great price. I would recommend him without any hesitation.

Is he expensive? Have you had anything similar done that I want done, like a spoiler and or a bumper? How much did he charge to repair the rust?
