Just got my 2007 hatch, carbon grey w/lux package yesterday and will be posting some pics soon. :bana :bana :bana The Xenon lights just about freaked me out when they turned on the first time..very cool effect. And with the monroof I can easily throw my half full can of Coke up and out of the car towards the next **shole who will be tailgating me. :chuckle I'm taking it easy with the car for now while I break it in, but so far the ride has been great. I'll be tinting the windows pretty soon. I'd like to go darker than 35% without going down to 15%. I understand it's possible to get 28%...can anyone confirm this?

Overall I had a good buying experience. A couple of negatives points, but I got a fairly good price for it which is the most important thing for me.

My biggest pet peeve with the leather option always has been how slippery it is. Majic warned me about this but I desperately wanted heated seats for the winter. So I got the luxury package myself. And yet you take a turn while doing a very spirited drive and you find yourself in the passenger seat.

FARK!!!!

Where's the 5 point harness group buy?

yeah I find myself sitting on my gf's lap in the passenger seat when I take a turn too hard,

Just gotta get Mazda to offer thier next 3 with bucket seats.

I just got the same car last week. I'm loving the carbon grey. I agree the leather isn't...soft. Makes you feel like sliding a bit. But I haven't driven too fast yet. Not till I get over 1000kms. Then, zoom zoom.

I'll probably just get 35%. But 20% (18% to 22%, depending on brand) would look hot, and is not too dark for driving.

Congrats on the ride...but what a confusing thread title.

I was expecting pictures of an old tanned chick!

A picture of my leathery ride. No old tanned chicks here.

Tint job will be coming soon...

Ok, I'll bite... any significant problems with the wheel gap?

There is nothing wrong with wheel gap. It's a question of aesthetics. You'll get those that want you to lower your cars while others will tell you to get larger wheels to reduce the gap.

Do whatever makes you comfortable and especially what is practical given your driving conditions. Nice car by the way.

Larger wheels will not reduce the gap. Not if you get proper sized tires, that is...

lets be clear, no one is telling you to do anything!

we just break balls on the forum some times.

fact of the matter is its your car and you do what you want! We just try to offer suggestions that might make the car look nicer. :)

Congrats on your new ride.

Slippery leather isn`t a problem for me or maybe I just dont notice.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. The fact is that any mods (except for tinting, and other easy items) will have to wait until my bank account becomes healthy again. Say what you will about this being an econo-box, but it ain't cheap!!! At least not for me anyway... :whoa

Still I'm liking this ride every day!

btw, nice leathery ride, me also a leather fan! :D
the leather seat is a bit slippery, but i think it's the problem of the seat design and not the leather itself right? i kinda like mz3's harden leather...
my friend's accord's leather seat is so soft and so easy to get wrinkles... it is 1 year younger than my car, but the leather looks more used (50k km compared to 80k km)

Nice lookin ride!

I have the leather and love it! I don't notice any sliding...probably because I have a large ass and it fits nice and snug:chuckle

I have 28% tints and am very pleased.

Thanks for the pics, looks great! 28% tints look good to me. I don't think you can get those anywhere though.

i wanna tint my windows too. where do you guys get the tint windows done? how much is that?

does it include the front window. i don;t think this is possible, because it will affect driving. but in a sunny condition, i can't see anything in front of my car because of the reflection of dash on the front window.

You can tint your windows for anywhere between $200 and $300. YOu cannot tint the front windshield. At most, a sunstrip, which is a 4 or 5" strip at the top of the windshield.

Where did you get 28% tint. I didn't want to get ~20%, so I just got 35%. Looks dark enough.
