Hi guys,

First time owner and new member on this board. I love my new car, so much different from my previous POS car. Driving a 07 M3 GT sport, galaxy grey. Soooo sexy.

First question, my first oil change is scheduled at 8,000 km. Does that mean that synthetic oil is used?

Synthetic blend...just use what they put in - anything else is just a waste of $$$

Yes...yes i am. :chuckle

First thing i'm gonna do are tints. Prolly going to FX auto as they seem to have a good reputaion. Thats all for now. Perhaps when i need to change to new tires, i'll look for rims and low pro tires and make my stock rims my winter rims.

Does anyone else have any other suggestions for modding the car? I'm not a real car fanatic but i know what i like on a car. Nothing too ricer looking :chuckle

1. What are HID's?
The best way to describe an HID headlight is to compare it to a more conventional halogen headlight. A halogen bulb consists of a wire filament surrounded by an inert gas. When electrical current is applied to the filament, it glows brightly to produce light. Contrast that with an HID bulb which has no filament, but instead consists of xenon gas, mercury, and metal halide salts. The xenon gas is ignited by an arc of high-voltage current and glows brightly. Also, the high voltage is supplied by a ballast, so in these respects it is like a fluorescent light. HID's are original equipment generally found on luxury and exotic cars but are progressively finding their way into the mainstream. For example, the 2004 Mazda 3s at ~$17k will include HID's.

HIDs not only look pretty cool at night but it should give better visibility in the dark (unless you go with 10k or more...then thats all for show) if you do go HID i suggest 5000K or 6000K for your low beams

Here's another question. I've been looking at rims (this is for down the road, a couple of years later) and i was wondering, do the places where you purchase rims have some kind of computer program so that you can put different types of rims on your particular car? You know, just like the mazda website where you can build your own car. :)
