All over the news there seems to be people bashing the police for their response to the other night.... I say kudo's to the boys in blue... the Chilean's teams behaviour was DISGUSTING..... how people can say that the police used excessive force or were "brutal" is just stupidity... These young men are supposed to be professionals.... not amatures..... and they certainly did everything but act like professionals... Many people are calling for an inquiry, for the fight that broke out. But the police did the right thing to remain in control. How people can even defend the Chilean team is beyond me, how do you defend people throwing things at officers and trying to pull them to the bus.....

While they are still under 20 yrs of age... they have to remember that they are representing their country of Chile, and honestly did a poor job of it after this outburst. If I was a Chilean I would have to say I would be extremely shamed by this team.... while I understand they were frustrated about the game... this is hardly the way to deal with their frustration. When have you ever heard NHL teams, or NBA teams throwing fits at the local PD... NEVER.... because they are professionals.... and if you can't deal with some heckling... DON'T PLAY!!!!

This kind of thing is nothing new to soccer. European fans are much worse. I watched the game and I knew something was stirring.

Argentina's gonna spank the Czech's!

I agree Joe, but really its not the players that usualy do the hooliganism.. its usually the fans.... being british I know all about it :chuckle just sad that such a great tournament and such a great opener for soccer in Tdot other then the FC.... gets tainted by sillyness!!

Yeah, it's unfortunate that in soccer, finding a player like Roger Federer is very rare.

Soccer is the closest thing to "war" in the eyes of the world.
In the age of 'peace' soccer and well "sports" is the best way to explode on other countries.

Don't forget that these Chilean soccer players were ripping apart handles on the bus and breaking the buses windows.

Something about the fans/players seems very uncivilized, i'd like to call it barbaric... but that's just my opinion.

If i was the police i would've beat all of them with a billy club and thrown them into prison with Michael Schofield.

I understand how they would'v got frustrated but that was no way of showing it. Complete idiocy. Either way, isnt this supposed to be called the beautiful game?

The game is beautiful. The behaviour is ugly.

Isn't the theme supposed to be all about sportsmanship and fair play? Way to go, Chileans!

Shat yer traps noooobs!
Ahhaaaha soccer games let you vent your frustration....... and it should never change, and probably won't!
Europe is the worst by far the worst when it comes to this and it's still the most popular sport by far - with NA just getting a real taste now...

Seeing a team do it out of the stadium isn't good tho - fans do all you want :P

being a noob has no relevance to knowledge of soccer.... too bad the chileans had to taint such a great tournament.. always a few bad ones in the bunch.... and it seems they were the ones in this tournament... they should be fined and suspended for their irresponsibility... :pop
