View Full Version : Car doesn't start anymore.
It all started when I went to get gas at Esso near my house. After that I went to meet up with some friends to go out for dinner when my car started to vibrate abnormally at a stop light. When I was taking off from the light, the car started to struggle really badly and I could only go at 5km/h. Luckily my car made it home. This morning when I went to start it, it turned on for 1 sec and turn right off all by itself. The only engine mod I've done is an Injen intake. I had it for approximately two months with no issues up until yesterday. I've never driven it hard and this is the first major problem I've had in two years @ 51 000 km. I'm getting it towed on Monday since dealerships aren't opened tomorrow.
EDIT: As I was taking off from the stop light it also made a popping noise and abit of knocking.
I would like to say CEL light is on and I tried disconnecting the battery and MAF sensor and reconnecting it but it still has the same problem.

loose wire to the connector. I've experienced a similar problem, took it to MoT. I was told there was a TSB on the wires being so short.
edit: you can drive it, it should still start.. you should be able to make it to a dealer but you will be spewing out black smoke. =p
I had 3 problems like yours:
1st time - It was the purge soleniod valve. My car shook like a mofo then gave out. Warranty 1st time. Cost me around $350 or more the second time I had it done.
2nd time - It was my maf sensor. Cost me around $75 for the part.
3rd time - It was a wire going to my computer. Cost me around $500.
Good luck.

Any chance you wanna let the rest of us know which Esso is watering down their gas?

get ESSO to fix your car, need to remove the gas tank... CDN tire sells an additive you can add to your gas to absorb the water, not sure what it is called..good luck..
