I'm not sure if you guys noticed this.

When I'm using 91 (Shell & Esso) I notice 'stutter' from the exhaust.
While cruising, raise your RPM to about 3k, just cruise until the RPM drops to 1k~1500 without putting the gear to the neutral.

At around 1k ~ 1500 I hear this 'stutter' meaning the exhaust does not produce uniform sound.

When I switch to Sunoco's Ultra 94 this 'stutter' is gone.

Anybody noticed this?

i usually put in ultra 94, and whenever i can't i dont fill the tank past halfway after using 91 first couple times... i find the ultra 94 gives better performance and seems to give the car better mileage... haven't really noticed the 'stutter' though

I think I'll stick with Ultra 94 as well...
For 5c more per liter...

The Speed3 is (was) supposed to take 98RON. Which is 92/93 octane.
91 is just shy....94 is a pinch above.
Take your pick. Every batch of gas could vary slightly. That tank of 91 you put in might be only 90 Octane, or maybe 92.....

Some of you have snickered at the srt-4 taking 93....well so are you.

Years ago it used to be 3 cents....then 4 cents...now it's 5 cents (for the last year or so)....

...good eye....

edit. Got gas today...98.8 for 87oct., $104.8 for 89oct and 91oct was the same price $104.8?... that's 6 cents difference

Unless you have a speed, I don't think you people notice a difference.

probally why he posted in the speed section :chuckle... manual says "87 [ (R+M)/2 method] or above (91 RON or above)" so that's why i go with the 94

There I go again posting a reply without reading everything :blush

I think Sunoco is the best gas imo. I try to get all my gas there.
