Yesterday was a busy day at MoT! I was in there bright and early to pick up my '07 GS in Phantom Purple. Jeff was awesome to deal with (as he has been throughout the buying process!). I got it home and immediately started a few odd jobs.
Made it home safe:

Love that beige interior!!!!!!!

And the mats with matching embroidery!

Stock shift knob....

The stock 15" tires are REALLY squirmy. So........ Pit Stop!

These are the stock Mazda6 GT rims I had on my P5. Yes, I know the tires are too small. Now it REALLY looks like a 4" lift kit! I also don't like how high the offset is on them. I thought it would be better on the 3 but it actually seems worse than on the P5. Think I might sell them after all.

I also got rid of the side mouldings......... I think I set a new record. Goo Gone, then pry up the front edge, and 15 seconds later no more mouldings! Can you see where I put them to good use?

Also put in my '04 Mz3 shift knob

And I found one more place for the side mouldings........ don't think I'll keep it though....

Aitch, very pro. Excellent use of the mouldings. It looks good on the back, so I say keep it.
Definitely looks like you added a lift kit, but I'm sure you'll take care of that in no time ;) Good stuff duuude. Can't wait to see what you'll do next with the new toy

Actually the modding started during the delivery.
surprised we didn't switch the boot before you left.
Love the idea with the side molding..
The 18's look incredible... Did you take the jack out from under the car? Looks a little high.. :chuckle
Thanx again Steve.

I loved the wheels on the P5...... but not so much on the 3. I think they look great but after seeing them on there I think it is too OEM for my tastes. I think I'm just ready for a change lol. Thanks for the comments guys!
Oh and Jeff I didn't have enough leather for a proper shift boot, so that will have to wait! lol.

That's what I was going for...... 2.5yrs and I never removed the ones on my P5, I did try once but the adhesive wasn't coming off cleanly.

I'll take a good shot at it with photoshop when I get home, but I think some tints, about a 3" lowering kit, or 1.5 and proper sized tires would set if off nicely. :D
It's a good thing the lower models no longer have those red tails anymore, too. :D

Actually I kinda liked the red tails. Especially on a white car (my original choice). And every time I went to MoT I kept forgetting to check the back of the 07 GS, so it wasn't until I got home that I found out I got the clear lenses!

Red Tails look good on light cars, eg.. White, Sandmica, Silver. Your car is darker, but I think it would look good, considering that the rear side deflectors and rear diffuser has red already...
I love those rims! I've been looking out for a set that is fs!

That looks wicked. I love the mouldings inside. How long did it take to do that? (th einside) and how did you adhere them? Wicked small mod. Very intuitive

Wasn't there a side moulding relocation thread on M3F 2 years ago?

yeah, noone try anything or beware the flames of Sabio if he doesnt like it...
I wouldnt do that with my mouldings but +2 for creativity, I don't mind the ones on the interior of the car actually, brings a little spice to the lighter seats/plastic.
Also nice colour, thats a rare one.

I thought that the chrome grill only comes with
GX or GS versions.
