Toronto Roadsters

Hey all,

I recently attended the first meet for a new club starting up in Toronto and thought I would post the info here and help them spread the word. They seem to be a good group of guys with good ideas. I really like the idea of incorporating many different manufacturers because it brings something new to each meet and its not always about stuff that you know. Things done on an S2000 can be replicated on a Miata and still done tastefully and likewise.

Seems like someone wanted to start there own club, even though all those cars already have a forum.
Someone wanted to be self important....get good deals for parts and stuff. And of course charge money for sponsors....and problably events as well.

You know the ticket for entry for that club is a roadster. What is the cheapest roadster someone can get? I'm thinking probably the Solstice.

then again im not a fan of those "trying to do it all" forums. i rather just stick with specific forums.

I think its a cool idea. Its tough to get clubs to co-mingle but with one dedicated forum to one type of car not make it could work quite well. I hope it goes well for them!

Yes, a buddy and I started www.torontoroadsters.com and have great success so far with 2 months running. Our first meet was a great one!

Broli > methodyst was there to buy a used part from a Miata owner there I believe and join in on the conversation mix. :)

SABIO > The idea behind TorontoRoadsters was because everything was exclusive to one specific brand or car. We decided to incorporate all the brands to come together and talk about what we love most about our cars...that being a drop top roadster. We have not asked our sponsors for any money and we don't charge money for events. Everything thus far is out of my pocket for this "interest." :)

Glad to have you guys around! how many cars did you get decaled that night...? hehe they had everything going, decals business card invitations. For the first meet that on top of their game.

I bet you caught my car because you took a shot of the roadsters haha, nonetheless I am probably posted on your board now WOOHOO!
